"How much more do we need?" Shi Tian asked, and Brother Niu let out a sigh of relief. As long as they could talk about it, how much could a fishing tackle shop cost? It would only be around one hundred to two hundred thousand at most—just a trivial matter for Ten Dolphins!
Not much, really. I have over two hundred myself, so I just need a little over five hundred more! After saying this, Shi Tian looked at Brother Niu with eager anticipation, only to receive an eye roll in response.
Shi Tian had roughly calculated that upgrading the Fishing Box would require about two million, which he had nearly covered; now he just needed the location. Old Zhang's yard wouldn't be easy to acquire, and it would depend on Yun Wan'er's abilities. Even if they managed to secure it, that yard wouldn't come cheap. Despite being in the most remote part of Anyou Town, moving someone out of a house they've lived in for decades would require sufficient compensation!
The difficulty with that yard wasn't just about money; if it were solely a financial issue, even if Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er didn't contribute, he could still find Shi Ye for help. Regardless of whether the Fishing Box was upgraded or not, raising a few million wouldn’t be too hard!
"Shi Zong, you've really expanded your business; such a large operation is beyond our capabilities!" Brother Niu said with an eye roll as he leaned back in his chair, resigned to whatever might happen.
Glancing at the gloomy-faced Brother Niu, Shi Tian chuckled and said, "I'm not in a hurry about the money. I've found a yard I'm interested in over there. If necessary, could you help me negotiate? See if we can get them to budge!"
He couldn't rely solely on Yun Wan'er for the yard. If there were no developments on her end later on, he would have to think of another way!
"Are you serious?" Hearing this, Brother Niu perked up.
Initially thinking Shi Tian was joking to lighten his mood, Brother Niu now saw that Shi Tian's earnest expression indicated he was serious.
"This isn't urgent; let me check it out first! If things don't go smoothly, I might need you to step in!"
For Old Zhang's yard, it would probably be more appropriate to have Scallion Ginger Fishy handle it. However, since Scallion Ginger Fishy often hung around Shi Tian's shop and Old Zhang would surely recognize him, it might not be suitable for him to intervene.
People from Sanya wouldn’t work; the only ones Shi Tian could trust were Brother Niu and his crew. Despite Brother Niu's large family business, they truly lacked experience in these matters. If he were to step in, it just felt like something was missing!
If Shi Ye were around, it would be straightforward; as long as he could communicate with Shi Ye effectively, there would be no need for him to worry about it—everything would be arranged clearly within days!
He found himself missing Shi Ye a bit; of course, he missed Shi Ye's wallet even more!
After an entire afternoon without seeing Bird Brother's figure—he had run off with Jian Ge's car and Jian Sao's best friend! After drinking a pot of tea and carrying several bags of tea leaves along with a stool and rod, Shi Tian and Brother Niu sat quietly by the riverbank watching the water flow.
Shi Tian was fishing while Shi Chui was also fishing. He had invited his new fishing buddy Old Zhang to sit across from the Fishing Tackle Shop for a day of fun.
As for Yun Wan'er, she was even more carefree. With Dai Yue Ye driving and Aunt Zhang as their local guide, they roamed around Hainan indulging in food and fun!
"Zhang Jie, is your son still in Guangzhou? Has he settled down there? Why didn’t you all move with him?" Hearing this made Yun Wan'er take Aunt Zhang to Wanning after getting information from Shi Ye about a restaurant specializing in Dong Mountain Goat dishes; they were currently enjoying a feast inside.
"After graduating, he found a job there and has even started dating someone; it seems he'll settle down there!" Aunt Zhang said proudly when talking about her son.
"Life in the big city is tough! We can't help him much anyway; it's better not to add to his troubles! Once they have kids in the future, we can go over and help take care of them then!"
Her son had been smart since childhood and had made his way into one of Guangdong's key universities.
After graduating from university, I found a decent job there. Although it was a bit far from home, the convenient transportation made it easy to travel back and forth; it was just a matter of a ticket.
"Isn't it time for you to hold your grandchild?" With a smirk, Yun Wan'er said, "Once Ming Yi gets married, you'll be able to hold your grandchild!" Aunt Zhang seemed eager for that moment, and this dream definitely needed to be fulfilled.
After enjoying the Dong Mountain Goat and the Happy Crab, we planned to head north after Wanning for some Chang Chicken and roasted suckling pig. Once our two-day trip concluded, Yun Wan'er took Aunt Zhang to Anyou Town, where Aunt Zhang conspired with Old Zhang's Family.
"How's it going? Any news?" Watching Old Zhang and Aunt Zhang leave, Yun Wan'er squatted beside Shi Chui and whispered.
Old Zhang's Fishing Buddy was quite nice; I wondered if there would be another chance to fish together in the future! As I packed up my rod, Shi Chui sighed and stuffed everything into the car. Finally, I wouldn't have to stay here anymore! It had been two days; I wondered if the fish in Xinyue Lake had gotten hungry and thin.
