The lobster shop doesn’t have much business during the day, so there’s no need for you to be there all the time. Let Zhang Sao manage the shop while you fish when you can. Additionally, open later in the evening and set up a couple of tables outside to create a lively atmosphere; that could attract more customers."
Old Zhang had experience running a restaurant, but when it came to marketing, he truly lacked expertise. It was like a mountain separating them; for Old Zhang's Little Lobster Shop to build a reputation quickly, he really needed some clever strategies.
It was clear that asking Old Zhang to engage in online marketing was out of the question; he would have to rely on simpler methods instead.
Old Zhang had likely thought about marketing strategies himself; Shi Tian merely wanted to plant a seed of thought in his mind. Building a reputation for a restaurant in six months wasn’t just talk. Luo Yongshan and Chuan Ge’s shops became popular quickly because Luo Yongshan sold breakfast and opened at four in the morning, monopolizing that market along with great taste, which allowed him to gain recognition in such a short time.
Chuan Ge’s shop was different; it had been established for years and had a loyal customer base. Once the food quality improved, those regulars naturally brought in more customers.
That’s how dining works: the more people eat there, the more will come. Even if two restaurants serve identical dishes, if one is packed while the other is empty, customers would rather wait ten minutes just to dine at the bustling one.
After chatting with Old Zhang for half the day and enjoying some small lobsters, Shi Tian drove back to the villa area to supervise their big cleanup at Shi Ye’s yard.
Once back, he planned to stay in Sanya for at most three days. Old Yun and Lao Shi were also in Sanya, and according to Shi Tian, those old gentlemen would be returning soon as well. "We can’t let them corner us in Sanya!" While tidying up his things, Shi Ye said to Air Force and Lu Ya.
He had grown up under Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er’s care and belonged to that category of people who miss someone after not seeing them for a long time but find them annoying after just three days together. He definitely didn’t want to be at their beck and call!
Previously, Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er had also come to Sanya, but they were not as easy to deal with as Shi Tian. They wouldn’t settle for anything less than staying in their own villa—even if it meant rejecting an entire villa area!
Now that Shi Tian owned a villa, both Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er moved into his place. Even so, once back home he would surely find himself unable to escape their clutches—getting pressured into marriage again! He figured he should run as far away as possible!
"What about Xiao Tian? How's Boat Rod coming along? If Boat Rod is ready, we should go out on the sea first. A couple of days ago Xiao Ping Tou caught a Tuna; he was so proud of it!" Air Force casually asked while nodding in agreement.
He wasn’t particularly afraid of Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er but dreaded running into their father! Once entangled with him, it would be troublesome; as long as he didn’t leave the country, their father wouldn’t let him off easily!
Boat Rod was secured in Air Force One's cabin. They planned on going out to sea; Xisha was fine but Nansha was too far away. If they went there, they’d likely find themselves cornered by their father upon returning to Sanya! He figured it would be best to make a quick getaway from the sea without returning until after New Year’s!
After responding briefly about Air Force One, Shi Ye felt a headache coming on. Shi Chui and Yun Wan'er had been pressuring him about marriage for years!
"How about Xishuangbanna? There’s not much else worth doing this season; we might as well go there!" Lu Ya suggested after pondering for a moment while lighting up a cigarette.
Staying in Xishuangbanna for some time seemed reasonable; they could return to Sanya for New Year’s and then look for an opportunity to escape afterward—perhaps even take a trip around Nansha!
They had no interest in watching the snow; it was freezing cold, and even driving was a challenge. Ice fishing was somewhat enjoyable, but just for a brief thrill. Spending every day on the ice wasn't particularly pleasant.
During this season, there weren't many places to fish in the north, and the few spots in the south were also scarce. If we were talking about winter fishing, Hainan would be the best place. Unfortunately, it had been occupied by the enemy, so we could only strategically retreat!
If we were to go to Xishuangbanna, I would definitely bring Xiao Tian along. I'm not used to Dai Cuisine, so having him cook for us would be great! Since we decided on Xishuangbanna, we needed to arrange the logistics first.
This was a good plan; Xiao Tian was a kid who could cook and handle fishing gear. I heard he had even started working with bait recently. He had gone out to sea a few times and brought back quite a haul! As soon as I mentioned bringing Shi Tian along, Lu Ya immediately supported the idea.
