Once the daughter has moved out of Hukou, Old Lu will have no cards left to play!
After sending the two of them to the High-Speed Rail station, Old Lady Lu wanted to return to Beijing as well. However, Yun Wan'er refused, insisting they first fulfill their obligations as hosts. What obligations? It was all a ruse to keep Old Lady Lu occupied while Shi Ye and Lu Ying Er could have some time alone without her interference.
Despite this, Old Lady Lu continued to praise Yun Wan'er for being a considerate person! It had been twenty years since she last visited Shandong, so she was eager to see Baotu Spring and enjoy some tea at Daming Lake. With the route to Mount Tai all figured out, they planned to take the cable car for a scenic tour before heading to Qingdao for some seafood. After a few days of this, who knows where Shi Ye might have taken Lu Ying Er?
It all depended on whether Shi Tian could pull it off and manage to keep Old Lu in Sanya. If he could give Shi Ye and Lu Ying Er three days together, they might even have a big nephew by next year!
Shi Tian was indeed making progress; with a little incentive, Old Lu was reluctant to leave. Unfortunately, Shi Tian was mingling with Old Kong and his crew, leaving him without any chance to make a move!
Back at the villa, Shi Tian drove his Electric Mini to the shop. He hadn’t seen Li Ziyu in over a day and found himself missing her!
“Boss lady, I’ll have a glass of lemonade!” He rushed into the café and spotted Li Ziyu chatting with September and November while holding Tang Tang. A smile crept across his face.
The term "boss lady" was something only Li Ziyu understood; it was their little secret! With a knowing glance from Shi Tian, Li Ziyu handed Tang Tang over to him with a smile: “This is a coffee shop; you must have walked into the wrong door next door!”
It had been a while since he held Tang Tang; she felt heavier now. It seemed like she could eat two pufferfish in one sitting!
The three of them were running two tiny shops and had even hired two girls to help out. Could their sales even cover their wages?
“Then please ask the boss lady to buy me a glass of lemonade! I still haven’t received my red envelope today!” With a wink at Li Ziyu, Shi Tian plopped down in a chair. Immediately, three little beauties rushed over to snatch his phone!
They had almost forgotten about it. Yesterday’s red envelope still had half of it on Shi Tian’s phone; if he added more money now, it would start accruing interest!
Once they got hold of his phone, they waved it in front of Shi Tian’s face and displayed the payment codes one after another. The sounds of transactions mixed with their laughter while one diligent little shop assistant ran next door to fetch Shi Tian’s lemonade.
After some playful banter, the phone returned to Shi Tian's hands. Li Ziyu mischievously grinned: “Boss, keep an eye on the shop; we’re going shopping!”
Shopping? Without him? He had heard that the experience could be quite terrifying, but he hadn’t tried it yet!
However, he wasn’t particularly interested in shopping with three little beauties. If it was just Li Ziyu talking about it, then let the terror come even stronger!
Old Kong and his crew were back; they planned to return early for dinner together—there would be red envelopes! He reminded them to cooperate well tonight and try for an extra portion since there would be more red envelopes tomorrow! Grabbing Li Ziyu’s hand, Shi Tian hurriedly instructed.
Upon hearing about more red envelopes, the three girls’ eyes sparkled with excitement as they smiled: “We’ll definitely be back before six!”
As he watched them drive off towards the city, Shi Tian returned inside the shop and decided to check on how things were going with Shi Ye. Other matters didn’t concern him; right now, he was solely focused on what was happening with Shi Ye.
"Ask Sun Lang for Lu Ying Er's ID card," Shi Tian said, snapping a photo with his phone and sending it to Shi Ye.
Whether this would be useful was uncertain, but it was still a significant achievement, especially since it had been stolen from Old Lu! As soon as the photo was sent, Shi Ye called back immediately.
"Where's Old Lu? Keep him occupied for me. If you can stall him for another day, once this blows over, I'll bring you a gift!"
Despite the two of them boarding the high-speed rail to the capital with their Household Register in hand, they were still worried that Old Lu might get stuck at the station. Before Shi Tian sent the message, they had even discussed whether they should get off a stop early and take a taxi to handle the Hukou transfer procedures.
"One day? No problem! Leave it to me! What about Ying Er's ID card? Should I send it to you by express delivery?" Hearing Shi Ye's words made Shi Tian a bit anxious; did that mean things weren't settled yet? Did he still have a chance for his Wedding Candy?
"Just keep the ID card safe and wait for my news. As long as you keep Old Lu occupied, that's a major accomplishment!" Right now, Shi Ye didn't have time to worry about Lu Ying Er's ID card; he needed to get the Hukou transferred to his Old Shi Family's Household Register first. How hard could it be to get an ID card?
"Got it! Leave it to me!" After hanging up, Shi Tian hid Lu Ying Er's ID card on the second floor. He had to ensure that Old Lu didn't leave his sight before dark!
He pulled out last night's call log with Old Lu and dialed his number, planning to lure him in first.
Old Lu was quite obedient at the moment, always ready to respond to a call. With one phone call, he hopped onto his Mini Air Force and hit the gas, heading out of the signal coverage area!
Once the boat left the shore, it wouldn't matter if they kept Old Lu occupied for two or three days; as long as he didn't turn back, Old Lu would have no choice but to drift at sea!
Once they were out on the water, Shi Tian took a picture with Old Lu. While he wasn't paying attention, he quickly connected to the internet and sent a photo to Shi Ye, hoping to put his mind at ease!
