Here, fishing rods are sold, but normally, not a single one would sell. However, Shi Tian has his own tricks up his sleeve; he had planned for this long ago.
Once the strategy was set, Shi Tian got up from his house. He needed to go shopping early in the morning and then head to the Lancang River to fish. It had been a while since he had fished seriously, and he was determined to catch a few big ones this time.
As Shi Tian left, Air Force and Lu Ya exchanged glances, sparks flying between them. They both snorted in unison and returned to their respective rooms to finalize their tactics.
When the alarm rang and he stepped outside, Air Force and Lu Ya were nowhere to be found. The entire villa felt empty, leaving him dumbfounded. He loaded the items he bought last night into the car. Since those two were unreliable, he decided to take matters into his own hands! It was too early to present his plan yesterday; he should have waited until after shopping to share it with them. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have ended up footing the bill himself!
He found a Shunfeng courier service and split the local specialties into two packages for shipping. Then he rushed into the city because Sun Lang's rod had arrived, and he needed to pick it up quickly. While he was at it, he would buy some ingredients, seasonings, and cookware. The first person that came to mind was Last Rod Brother.
Last Rod Brother couldn’t be overlooked. Shi Tian wondered if he had a sports car; if he could land a big deal and gather the four hundred yuan needed, he wouldn’t have to buy his rod! However, the chances were slim since Last Rod Brother was likely at work. Shi Tian pondered whether Last Rod Brother had fished all night yesterday; surely he wouldn’t have had the energy to drive around after fishing all afternoon!
He pulled out his phone and found Last Rod Brother's number.
“Hey, Last Rod Brother! My rod has arrived! Want to head to Lancang River for a couple of casts? I’ll let you see how amazing the Star Brand Rod is!”
Upon receiving Shi Tian's call, Last Rod Brother was eager to join him for some fishing right away. He wasn't particularly interested in Shi Tian's Star Brand Rod but was very curious about the Wo Liao rods that Shi Tian's friends had.
After Air Force and Lu Ya left yesterday, he spent the afternoon fishing at their place. Since learning how to fish, he finally had a great catch—big carp all around! Those Wo Liao rods were incredible; no wonder those two were so tight-lipped about them!
“I’m at work right now; you go ahead. Send me your coordinates when you get there, and I’ll come by after my shift.” After saying this, Last Rod Brother quickly asked in a low voice, “Are your two friends going too? What kind of Wo Liao are they using? Didn’t you ask them for some tips?”
Mentioning Wo Liao made Shi Tian smile slightly; it seemed Last Rod Brother had fallen into his trap!
“They’re busy and can’t make it. I’ll grab a pack of Wo Liao and bring it over! As long as I have Wo Liao with me, no matter where I go fishing, Last Cast will definitely follow!” This deal was going smoothly!
After agreeing with Last Cast, Shi Tian drove back to the villa. He dropped off his things but realized that his customized rod wouldn’t be ready anytime soon.
Not having his rod wasn’t a big deal; there weren’t many large fish here anyway—he could practice with an ordinary rod! However, he still needed to grab two packs of Wo Liao. He regretted not bringing his Rogue Software Fishing Box since he rushed over to Xishuangbanna!
“Hey, Lu Ge! Where are you? I’m going fishing; aren’t you coming?” After packing up and rummaging through the trunk, he discovered that his customized rod had mysteriously vanished while all his other gear remained intact—seemed like Lu Ya still had some integrity!
“We can’t go; we’re busy stocking up!”
Hearing about stocking up made Shi Tian pause in surprise. “So soon? You haven’t even discussed the details yet, and you’ve already secured a booth? How is that possible?”
“What are you stocking up on? Did you secure the booth yet? You can’t just stock anything; there are rules!” He worried that these two might impulsively sign contracts without thinking it through.
Upon hearing “rules,” Lu Ya smiled proudly.
“Don’t worry; we know what we’re doing! It’s all about finding common ground! He sells beads and handmade items; we’re also selecting beads! As for handmade stuff, we’ll wait until we’re familiar before asking for advice! This is a great opportunity!”
Upon hearing this, Shi Tian quickly stopped.
"What kind of joke is this? I let you rent a booth, not for you to flirt with girls! That space is meant for selling fishing gear! If you take the booth and start selling beads, where am I supposed to display my Fishing Rod?"
As rivals, if you do the same thing as others and succeed, you'll be stealing their business. How could they not resent you? If you fail, it just shows that your intelligence is questionable, and you'll end up pleasing no one!
After making his point, Shi Tian patiently guided them: "Attack their weaknesses with your strengths. What are you good at? Fishing!"
Set up a booth for fishing, provide Bait, charge Ten Dollars for an hour, and if they catch ten Xiao Yu, give them a board of Hooks as a bonus. Throw in a few small gifts; it won't take much time. You can also sell Rods while chatting with the girls—this is exactly what they want!
If possible, let Lu Ya and Air Force open a shop right there and set up a fishing booth. Provide some One Meter Eight and two-meter-seven rods to attract those traveling Fishermen. Once they get their hands on the Rods, I can't believe they won't buy!
After hearing this, Lu Ya and Air Force were somewhat bewildered. They looked at each other. Shi Tian's reasoning sounded quite convincing, but why did it feel like they were being asked to work for him for free?
