After coming out from the water collection, I took a taxi to buy some groceries. The day was about to end, and I needed to make a good impression tonight.
I called Lu Ying Er to confirm that they would be back for dinner. As soon as I returned from the supermarket, Shi Tian started getting busy.
"Ying Er Jie, did you guys go to Wang Tian Shu? Have you tried the skywalk? I heard it’s ten stories high!" As soon as Shi Ye and the others returned, Shi Tian immediately dragged Lu Ying Er along as a protective shield.
Earlier, I thought Wang Tian Shu was just a tree, but now I realize it’s a type of tree that can grow rice! Following Shi Tian into the kitchen, Lu Ying Er began sharing her experiences from the day.
Wang Tian Shu is indeed remarkable; it is the only place in China recognized as a tropical rainforest. The annual rainfall exceeds two thousand millimeters, with no distinct dry season—that’s what makes it a rainforest. The average annual temperature is above twenty-four degrees Celsius, and the coldest month averages above eighteen degrees. Only when both conditions are met can it be classified as a tropical rainforest.
Even Hainan doesn’t have a true tropical rainforest. The northern regions don’t meet the temperature and rainfall criteria. Although Sanya and Ling Shui have suitable temperature and rainfall, the original forests have long been cut down, leaving only remnants on the mountains.
Tropical rainforests around the world are mainly distributed within twenty degrees of latitude on either side of the equator, between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. Wang Tian Shu is already considered at a relatively high latitude.
As Shi Tian looked down at the scenery through the clouds, he felt a sense of familiarity; it felt just like coming home.
After getting off the plane with a small suitcase, there was no need to find someone to pick me up. I took a taxi to meet with my trailer at the designated spot and headed straight for Anyou Town.
The trailer stopped in front of the Fishing Tackle Shop where several people were busy unloading. Shi Tian went directly into the coffee shop where he had just chatted with Kang Ziyu; they were still talking inside.
"Fei Fei, is Xiao Yu in the shop?" Shi Tian knocked on the bar and asked the pretty girl behind it who was idly scrolling through her phone.
"Ah! Boss, when did you come back? Where are the boss ladies?" Seeing Shi Tian return, the girl was surprised and quickly hid her phone.
"Can you call them upstairs? They need to sign for a delivery at the Fishing Tackle Shop; it's quite large and one person can't lift it! And remember not to tell them I'm back!" After giving her instructions with a slight smile, Shi Tian turned around and dashed out, heading straight into the Fishing Tackle Shop.
As soon as Shi Tian left, the girl hurried upstairs.
"What’s going on?" Fei Fei asked as she opened the door to find Kang Ziyu looking puzzled.
Aside from Kang Ziyu and her four friends, few people came upstairs; even Fei Fei rarely came up.
"A delivery just arrived outside that needs your signature! It’s quite large; one person might not be able to carry it!" As Kang Ziyu opened the door, Fei Fei stood up straight.
Fei Fei was brought by Kang Ziyu from Beijing and was assigned by Kong Yunfei—a trusted aide indeed.
"Alright, I’ll sign for it now!" Kang Ziyu replied with some curiosity about what kind of delivery required her personal signature.
"Let’s go! We’ll check it out together!" Kang Ziyu headed downstairs, and Eleven and September immediately jumped up to follow her out.
Last time, Shi Tian sent Dried Bananas, and they were quite delicious. The box was indeed large, and this time it might be filled with similar items. Xia Shou was determined to grab more this time.
Watching the three people rush out one after another, Yun Wan'er shook her head and got up to follow them downstairs. She needed to observe Xiao Yu's attitude towards the gifts closely—what she liked, what she didn't—so she could gather useful information to pass on to her son.
Where's the delivery? When she reached downstairs, the shop was empty except for a lone clerk who seemed dazed. Kang Ziyu turned to Fei Fei and asked, "What about the Fishing Tackle Shop? It looks huge! Just waiting for you to sign for it!" With a slight smile, Fei Fei opened the door and pointed next door.
This delivery was quite large—an entire shipping container! Following Fei Fei's gaze, Kang Ziyu wondered if this package was sent by Shi Tian. If he were sending her something, he would have probably called her in advance!
"Is this Miss Kang Ziyu? This is a gift from Mr. Shi Tian sent from Xishuangbanna. Please sign here to receive it!" The truck driver handed over the receipt to Kang Ziyu. As he lifted his hand, the container door swung open, revealing a dazzling array of Xiao Xing stars inside.
Without hesitation, she signed her name. This vehicle was something she had longed for, and how did Shi Tian know? She had never mentioned it in front of him!
No matter; since Shi Tian sent it, it was hers! The only people who knew she liked this car were those few—September Eleven and Lu Ying Er. They must have leaked the information!
"Wan Er Jie! Tian Ge sent me a car! Get in; I’ll take you for a ride!" Pushing past September and Eleven, Kang Ziyu pulled Yun Wan'er forward. "You two wait here; we’ll have a serious talk when we get back tonight!"
Seeing this scene, Shi Tian was somewhat dumbfounded; this wasn't how the script was supposed to go!
