Xiao Tian, the club has been established for a year now. As the leader, I discussed with the Vice Leaders and several Steersmen and decided to organize an event! With my position secured, Yi Laotou is ready to exercise his authority.
This plan was concocted by the four old men, merely requiring Yi Laotou to inform Shi Tianyi. Shi Ye, this Vice Leader, is practically a decoration; his two subordinates have already been sent back to Beijing by Shi Tian, leaving him too busy to concern himself with such trivial matters. Sun Lang, another Vice Leader, is also just a figurehead. He wanted to participate in the discussion, but Yi Laotou only informed him of the event without going into details. Under Yi Laotou's pressure, he nodded in agreement.
"Master, you are the leader; you make the decisions. Right now, I am just a Xiao Tiao, without any authority in the club!" Shi Tian truly is a Xiao Tiao; his Rod was robbed by Li Yunlong, and thus he was completely unbound. After returning, he planned to get himself a Customized Rod but hasn't managed to do so yet.
A few days ago, he did manage to bind a Rod and spent an afternoon fishing at Dao Wan with Junaige. Unfortunately, the two Shi Jiu Gong he caught together weighed less than two taels and couldn't compare to Junaige's single heron.
"Alright, I'll issue the announcement then! This is for us old men!" However, you'll need to help with the prizes; we need some floats with the club logo made. Once he finished speaking, Yi Laotou smirked—it's settled!
"Sure thing! I'll handle the prizes." After readily agreeing, Shi Tian got up and walked towards the shop across the street.
Fei Fei didn't return home for the New Year; she has been overseeing the renovations and staff training at those ten restaurants. Li Ziyu returned to Beijing for the holidays and sent her some funds, immediately elevating the shop's standards.
Head Brother had promised to come ashore and drink with Shi Tian. Originally, Li Ziyu planned to wait for Head Brother's return so he could take Fei Fei back to Beijing together. However, as soon as they reached land, Head Brother was summoned back to Beijing, leaving Fei Fei likely spending New Year alone here.
"Fei Fei, you’re not going back to Beijing tomorrow?" Upon entering the shop and seeing Fei Fei training a group of handsome waitstaff, Shi Tian asked.
"Tian Ge, I won't be going back tomorrow. The shop is about to open, and there’s still so much to handle." As soon as she saw Shi Tian approach, Fei Fei ran over with a smile.
Having been well settled in Beijing only to be dragged over by Li Ziyu to open a milk tea shop left Fei Fei feeling that her future was bleak! But less than a month later, with Li Ziyu’s appointment letter in hand, she became the general manager of these ten shops—the window of opportunity had opened.
"Alright then! Let’s celebrate New Year together; I’ll come pick you up tomorrow afternoon!" A young girl from Beijing spending New Year alone here prompted Li Ziyu to call and ask Shi Tian to take care of her.
Chance encounters often feel like being a guest in a foreign land. Celebrating New Year together adds warmth—at least it would make this little girl feel better.
As for the Unreliable Duo? They had already made plans with Sun Lang to celebrate at his restaurant.
Shi Tian went looking for Fei Fei while Yi Laotou headed over to Sun Lang's place. Under Sun Lang's guidance, he copied and pasted Old Wen's draft for the first Diao Jiao event announcement and sent it out carefully so that all Diao Jiao members would receive notification.
For New Year's Eve fishing: All club members participating in fishing on Lunar New Year's Eve will have their points calculated based on their single catch multiplied by its weight. Those ranking high in points can win a fishing ticket worth thousands for Nan You Hai (on January 4th evening), which includes meals and accommodation (can be redeemed for cash!).
The top ten participants will receive a commemorative smart fishing rod worth three thousand dollars, or a Lure Rod. Those ranked from eleven to twenty will receive a commemorative Smart Fishing Rod valued at one thousand dollars. The remaining participants will receive a souvenir.
Once the announcement was made and his phone was put away, he could only wait for the Sea Fishing slots to be confirmed. Whether or not the Sea Fishing slots were confirmed didn’t matter; as long as he could secure a place in the top rankings, he would have a reason to take Shi Tian out for Sea Fishing and Tuna.
If he went, how far behind were Old Kong and the others? He needed to break through layer by layer; as long as he had a legitimate reason to go out to sea, it would only be a matter of time before Old Kong and the others followed suit.
“Old man, can I participate in this event?” Sun Lang looked at the details on his phone, feeling a bit tempted. Going Sea Fishing on the evening of the Lunar New Year was something he longed for.
“Take care of the shop! Look at how exhausted your little Xue is! Don’t you feel sorry for your wife?” Yi Laotou scolded him before stepping out with an air of indifference.
Whether Old Kong and the others could go out to sea depended entirely on him. Tomorrow, he would head to Xinyue Lake and fish all day; he was determined to make it into the top ranks!
“Master, it’s time to eat!”
“I’m going to your senior brother’s place! I’ll be back for the New Year!”
After hanging up Yi Laotou’s call, Shi Tian frowned. He had just received a lot of supplies from Scallion and Ginger to Remove Fishy Smell two days ago; why was Yi Laotou going over there today? Shouldn’t he be staying home for Lunar New Year's Eve?
After enjoying a meal of dumplings and sharing a few drinks with some friends, this New Year was considered celebrated.
“Mother Empress, Happy New Year!” After waking up from a nap, he found both of them blocked in the room. First things first, they had to collect their Red Envelopes!
