"Yangtze Knife Fish?" Of course, I know about that! This must be the Yangtze Knife Fish!
The last time I was encouraged to read more was by Yi Laotou, and now I'm deeply entrenched in this situation, determined not to rest until I've dragged all ten of my disciples into it as well.
It's not exactly the Yangtze Knife Fish, but it's a close relative—after all, it’s called Silver Knife for a reason. Liu Yi Gonggong's understanding is limited, but since he’s gotten used to teaching, he can't resist showing off a bit now that he has Shi Tian, this young person, in front of him.
The Silver Knife from Taihu is called Mei Zhi, and it’s not much different from the Yangtze Knife Fish. However, the Yangtze Knife Fish lives in Hai Li and migrates back to the Yangtze River during spring breeding season, traveling over a thousand kilometers to Jiujiang.
During its migration, it doesn’t eat and grows thinner, making it less tasty by the time it reaches Jiujiang. The best fishing spots are in Jiangsu; here, the Knife Fish is the most delicious and valuable. After spawning, they start feeding again. The Knife Fish caught in the Yangtze River with chained hooks are tastier than those caught with nets.
The Knife Fish in Taihu belongs to this group of fish as well. However, once they take a turn into Jiangsu and enter Taihu via the Grand Canal, they settle down there. Therefore, the Knife Fish in Taihu is also called Hu Dao; during the Ming Dynasty, it was considered a tribute.
Sitting by the door fishing while listening to faint music drifting from the courtyard and basking in the spring sunshine, Shi Tian could spend an entire day by Taihu like this.
But just when he thought he could slack off, someone wouldn’t let him. A message from Shi Chui came through: this idyllic life was about to come to an end!
Father: Knowing my son is enjoying beauty along the southern rivers, I cannot bear to disturb him.
And Zhang Li Eryou has returned to Yuzhang Old District, where he encountered a menace named Wu Yu, which has been wreaking havoc due to its violent and murderous nature. As a father with ambitions to eliminate such threats for peace of mind, I wish for my son—who also despises evil—to lend me a helping hand by providing two boxes of Wo Liao. Once this evil is eradicated, you will surely gain fame throughout the land.
Reading Shi Chui's lengthy message made Shi Tian happy. He even had the mood to play along; it seemed that Lao Shi was in a good mood.
However, Lao Shi's appetite seemed rather large; if he only needed two bags, Shi Tian could easily send them from his Fishing Box. But asking for an entire box gave him a headache.
It wasn't worth going back to Sanya just for this. However, since he's been away for so long, returning to Sanya wouldn’t be bad either. He could get his yacht out; just dealing with those procedures would take some time. Then he'd have to take the boat to Zhoushan since it needed registration there.
He pulled out his phone to check; he had enough shipbuilding points already. So first things first—he would go back and build the ship! Once it's built and someone else handles the paperwork, he could return with Li Ziyu and continue enjoying rural life.
He called Shi Chui first to send over two bags of Wo Liao from his pack. If Shi Chui was asking for Wo Liao, it wasn’t just him; it was definitely old man’s request too.
"Liu Yi Gonggong," he said as he reeled in a Little White Strip fish. "You keep fishing; I have to head out for work now. Save some Qingmei Wine for me; we’ll drink together when I get back!"
After catching the fish, Shi Tian turned back towards the courtyard and called Squid Brother over. He signed an agreement and taught him the sauce recipe and cooking process.
If Squid Brother keeps his promise and honestly shares his fifty percent of profits from this Iron Plate Squid business, then let him make some money from it. When he returns later on, that profit should be enough for Li Ziyu to get their Farmhouse Garden sorted out; adjusting their agreement to a nineteen-one split wouldn’t hurt either.
If you don't keep your promises, then consider it as if you've created a little side quest for yourself. Whenever you're bored, you can pull it out and play through it, just as a form of entertainment.
