If you want fish to come ashore, you need to trade food for them! To catch more, you have to bait more! If you’re stingy with the Carp Bait, how can you expect to catch anything? After finishing a bucket of Carp Bait, Da Gui Wang casually mentioned it and turned back to grab another bucket from the shop.
The area they were fishing in was vast, and their baiting spots were scattered along the lakeshore. The goal was to let the water carry the scent of the Carp Bait downstream to attract schools of fish.
After emptying three buckets of Carp Bait, Da Gui Wang leaned closer to the older brother and offered a cigarette. "Brother, do you have a local Fishing Friends Group? We’re new here and not familiar with the resources. Could you help us get added to a group so we can connect with local Fishing Buddies?"
Attracting Fishing Buddies wasn’t too difficult; catching a couple of larger fish and sharing them would surely draw some attention from Smart Rod users nearby.
However, that wasn’t their main goal. They aimed to attract non-Xing Brand anglers; only by bringing these people in could they increase Xing Brand's visibility.
"What’s this? You want to join a group just to advertise?" The older brother immediately became alert upon hearing that Turtle King wanted to join.
Fishing Buddies were welcome in the group, but letting an advertising Fisherman in would be annoying!
"What kind of advertisement? Didn’t you see our fishing tackle shop’s sign? Xing Xing Fishing Tackle Shop sells Xing Brand products—why would we need advertisements?"
Once he finished speaking, Da Gui Wang pulled out two packs of Hooks from his Fishing Box and handed them to the older brother. "Here, try our Hooks. With our Pin Gou line, you can catch big fish under eighty pounds; they won’t break easily!"
Taking a look at the Hooks from Da Gui Wang’s hands, the older brother stopped focusing on Floats for now. With this round of Carp Bait tossed in, it seemed unlikely there would be any bites tonight!
The current Hooks had improved packaging quality and looked quite high-end.
He tested one Hook Tip against his hand; it felt sticky and sharp. The Hooks looked great—he just hoped they were durable!
"The Fishing Spot you let me use this afternoon has good bites; it must be a spot for skilled anglers. Given your fishing skills, I don’t mind adding you to the group—but no advertising!"
Pulling out his phone and glancing at the two packs of Hooks in his hands, the older brother scanned Da Gui Wang’s QR code to add him as a friend. After some quick actions, he added Da Gui Wang to two local groups.
Once in the groups, he sent out a Red Envelope for newcomers to gauge the group's activity.
A shared Red Envelope was divided into thirty portions; once sent out, he started timing to see which group could clear it first.
After joining the groups, Da Gui Wang turned and exchanged glances with Unreliable Duo; they quickly set up their equipment to start filming content.
At this hour, everyone was still awake. They needed to get the video done quickly and post it before nine o'clock. A little promotion should help generate some buzz.
Staying away from the older brother, Xiao Feng took charge of filming while Xiao Yu appeared on camera. Da Gui Wang grabbed half a bucket of Carp Bait and began baiting again.
