Both waves of effort had passed, and this fish was definitely coming up. "Big Brother, do you have a large net? This fish must weigh at least forty pounds; a regular net won't be able to handle it!" I needed to find a reason for this guy to go get a net without disturbing Big Brother, who was busy reeling in the fish. 0

Now we just had to wait for Big Brother to drag the fish up, and then we could send these two guys over to the bridge pier. In just a short while, the other side of the bridge pier had already been occupied. 0

As the saying goes, as long as there are fish, nothing can stop a fisherman’s steps. In this chilly water, with a big fish caught here, there were immediately fishermen moving over with their fishing chairs. 0

Setting up their fishing chairs, they tied themselves to the bridge pier with loss prevention ropes and stood on their chairs to cast their lines. These people really knew how to have fun. 0

Fishing in the Yangtze River doesn’t allow for fishing platforms, but they weren’t breaking any rules; they were using fishing chairs, which was perfectly fine. 0

After more than ten minutes, the fish flipped over. Big Brother reluctantly dragged it along the bridge pier platform through the water back to the riverbank, while another guy had already waded in with a large net. 0

I couldn’t let him steal the spotlight, so I quickly thought of a way to overshadow him! As long as the fish was brought up, I wanted to see how he would show off! 0

With such a big fish, those two guys wouldn’t just let it go! Once they made a move for it, everything would be exposed! 0

The net scooped up the fish and dragged it to shore. Shi Tian and his friends didn’t rush forward. They had worked hard to help reel in the fish; now a crowd was gathered around waiting to see it. There was no way he would ruin the moment by rushing over! 0

They got their gear ready and prepared to claim their spot! Shi Tian reminded Sun Lang and pulled Li Ziyu back a few steps, waiting for the crowd to disperse before approaching. 0

A big carp weighing over forty pounds, with thick lips and scales as big as coins—it looked quite impressive. 0

After a group of photographers finished taking pictures and left, Shi Tian leisurely walked over to collect his rod piece by piece. "Thank you, Big Brother! We’re done for the afternoon; you can keep the fish." 0

"You’re not fishing anymore?" Big Brother was taken aback when he saw Shi Tian packing up right after catching a big one. 0

"Nope! The bridge pier is too dangerous; it’s unstable and full of big fish that could easily drag someone into the water! I saw three or four just while I was reeling in that one!" 0

"If you’re not fishing anymore, I’ll head over there," said Big Brother. "Are there really that many big fish? I was too focused on reeling in my catch earlier to notice if there were any big ones in the water. If I had known there were so many big ones around, why would I bother competing with those small carps here?" 0

"Alright! Use these plastic particles; that’s what I used earlier!" Shi Tian pulled out a handful of plastic particles and handed them to Big Brother. He needed to get him over to the bridge pier quickly. 0

After collecting his plastic particles and picking up his rod again, he glanced at the opposite bridge pier. Big Brother was now carrying his fishing chair and heading back toward it. 0

One fishing spot secured; he glanced at another guy nearby. What was going on with this brother? Was he planning on staying put? That wouldn’t do! 0

"Big Brother, aren’t you going? There’s a fifty-pound big carp over there!" Shi Tian moved closer to Big Brother and offered him a cigarette while frowning. 0

"I’m not going! I get seasick!" Big Brother firmly planted himself on his chair without any intention of getting up. 0

He shot Shi Tian a sideways glance as he baited his hook and cast his rod. 0

"Little one, you think you can play this game with me? You’re still too green!" 0

The people on the other bridge pier had been there for quite some time without catching anything. If there were really that many big fish around the edge of the bridge pier, they wouldn’t still be sitting idle! 0
