Shi Tian began to reorganize the Fishing Set inside the Fishing Box. Old Liu reached out, taking the dagger from Shi Tian's hands and weighing it in his palm. This dagger was undoubtedly twice as heavy as an ordinary one, made of the same material.
"How did you bring this dagger over? Didn’t security check it?" Old Wen quickly diverted Shi Tian's attention as he glanced at the dagger in Old Liu's hand.
"No one checked! I just placed it in the Fishing Box, and they didn’t say anything! If I hadn’t rummaged through the Fishing Box last night, I wouldn’t have even realized I left it there," Shi Tian replied.
As Old Wen interrupted, Shi Tian immediately felt guilty. He had casually made a dagger from the same material while getting his membership card, and now he was heading to Xiamen without even having a chance to play with it. He had debated whether to bring it along or leave it in the car for someone to tow over later, since the car needed to be brought too.
However, upon seeing Li Ge, Shi Tian changed his mind and stuffed the dagger into the Fishing Box for Li Ge to bring along. If they could bring an American Gill Net, how could a small dagger be an issue? During security checks, the officer didn’t even glance at it; they passed through with a green light.
"This is a restricted item; don’t mess with it," Old Liu said. "Hand that dagger over to Xiao Li and let him keep it safe for Xiao Tian until we return to Sanya; otherwise, he won’t be able to take it back."
It would take several days to return to Sanya. Originally, Old Liu had planned to drag Old Kong and Old Wen into drawing lots for a membership card to get it tested, but now he decided to send Shi Tian's dagger for testing instead—better to check the data first!
"It's just a small item; no need to return it," Li Ge said as he received the dagger from Shi Tian. "It's good for corn thieves; I've tried it!" He generously handed over the sheath.
"Making another one isn’t a big deal; it's not like it's something valuable," Shi Tian replied.
This dagger wasn’t given away for free; Li Ge would teach him how to use the American Gill Net. Although they hadn’t fired live rounds yet, just handling real equipment made him eager to get his own.
Li Ge hung the sheath at his waist and took the dagger from Old Liu’s hands, playing with it for a moment before examining it closely.
"No matter how sharp this is, I won’t use it; it's too heavy and affects speed. The practicality isn’t great either. Even retraining wouldn’t help me adapt quickly; it's better to stick with my own knife."
He slid the dagger back into its sheath, knowing that even if he wanted to play with it, this wasn’t really his. At most, he could keep it for an hour before Old Liu would definitely ask for it back once they were on land.
"Thanks! I’ll take this. When we get back to Sanya, I’ll take you shooting—plenty of rounds!" Li Ge patted his waist where the dagger was secured and mechanically expressed his gratitude.
Shi Tian was already used to Li Ge’s personality; this time he spoke more than usual—almost twenty words—while typically he wouldn’t exceed ten.
"How long?" Upon hearing Li Ge’s invitation, Shi Tian quickly asked.
"Long enough!"
"How long exactly?"
"Fifty bucks per round!"
"There’s a fee? Alright! If I can play for that price, then fine by me. It’s just about having some fun anyway. As long as I can get my hands on it, spending a little money is worth it—so many people want to spend but don’t have the chance!"
