Hearing that Shi Tian wanted to cook for him, A Heng's heart raced like it had a vibration motor installed. Previously, when Shi Ye and the Air Force were around, they often mentioned Shi Tian's culinary skills. They had even planned to bring Shi Tian to Africa to be their cook, but that idea ultimately fell through.
Now that Shi Tian had taken the initiative to invite him, A Heng quickly responded with politeness, "You want to cook? Is that really okay? You just arrived; I should be the one welcoming you. It feels a bit embarrassing to have you in the kitchen."

This phenomenon wasn't limited to Tanzania; throughout Europe and America, as well as Asia and Africa, wherever there were Chinese people, there were Chinese supermarkets. After all, it was hard for them to get used to local food when abroad, so they often brought their own seasonings from home.
Shi Tian confirmed that there was a pot at home; he had noticed earlier that at least the induction cooker and gas were all quite complete. He just wasn't sure about the seasonings.
The main purpose of this trip wasn't just to buy ingredients but primarily to purchase seasonings. He had been reminded earlier by Simba that ingredients here were too expensive.
They gathered various seasonings like oil, salt, sauce, and vinegar, along with scallions and garlic. There was also something they couldn't find outside: pork—he needed at least ten or twenty pounds of it.
Now was the time to choose more if possible; after all, A Heng wouldn't have to pay for it!
The seasonings weren't cheap here; they cost at least one-third to half more than back home. After filling the trunk with items and paying with a large stack of cash, Shi Tian couldn't help but feel a bit pained for A Heng's wallet.
Compared to seasonings, ingredients were much cheaper—beef was eleven dollars a pound, so he bought twenty pounds. Once A Heng left, he could slowly eat it from the freezer.
Lamb wasn't expensive either; it was also around ten dollars a pound, so he got another twenty pounds—saving wherever he could.
As for seafood? Forget it; Sanya had plenty of seafood available; there was no need to come here for that.
With just a few simple dishes and two bottles of Erguotou placed on the table, things became easier since A Heng was from Guangdong. He calculated that half a pound would be enough!
"Heng Ge," Shi Tian said playfully, "you've gone out of your way for me. In this hot weather, you worked hard picking me up from the airport and bought so many things. I should treat you for this meal as thanks for picking me up."
"I'll be staying here for a while longer and will surely need your help again. I don't have any money here; how about I transfer you some through WeChat? If you don't accept it now, I won't be able to ask you again later!" After finishing one cup of wine, Shi Tian raised another.
Shi Tian's bank card had been rendered useless by Shi Ye's meddling, but he still had money in his WeChat and Alipay accounts! That amount would be enough for him to get by for some time.
"No! Don't transfer that money! Don't worry; Ye Ge will reimburse me!" A Heng raised his hand to stop Shi Tian's phone.
"Reimbursed by Ye Ge? Then that's settled," Shi Tian said as he put his phone away. Now that he thought about it, he should quickly take advantage of A Heng before he fell asleep.
