As the door closed behind them, Shi Tian jumped in place, savoring the taste of freedom!
"Sinba, let's buy a lobster to celebrate!" Shi Tian exclaimed, eager to mark the occasion.
Lately, Shi Tian had developed a fondness for shopping, as it allowed him to learn new things. Although he had spent the past few days fishing with A Heng and hadn’t had much time for shopping, he had already picked up around forty to fifty Swahili words just from grocery shopping.
With his impressive memory, he estimated that after another week of practice, he would be able to hold basic conversations in Swahili.
“Boss, there’s some in the fridge! Get it out!” Sinba immediately reminded him when he heard Shi Tian was going out.
Not only was there food in the fridge, but also in the freezer. His supplies were plentiful, and both the fridge and freezer were packed to the brim.
“What’s in the fridge isn’t fresh anymore! I’ll grab a package too!” With that, he instructed them to head upstairs for cash. Sinba and the others quickly strapped on their weapons.
Shi Ye had blocked his bank card, leaving him to figure things out on his own. Shi Ye probably informed Sanya’s people about this situation. He planned to contact Old Zhou from Cha Dong to get a card under his name and register for WeChat and Alipay so that he could use Old Zhou's card in the future.
The card had already been sent; now he just needed to pick it up. There was no delivery service available here, and even if one wanted to complain, finding a phone number was impossible; any complaints would simply be tossed into the trash.
The Seafood Market wasn’t just about buying lobsters; it was a battleground for bargaining. There were many Chinese people in Tanzania, and quite a few came specifically for cheap seafood, leading to a thriving business for Huang Niu!
These Huang Niu would pounce on any foreigner they spotted, taking advantage of their multilingual skills. No matter which stall you turned to, they would be right behind it acting as the boss and haggling with you.
“A pound of Azure Crab for Ten Dollars,” but when it came out of a Huang Niu's mouth, it turned into forty bucks. When you swung your knife and blurted out ten dollars, that extra ten dollars went straight into their pockets.
This phenomenon wasn’t limited to the Seafood Market; seeing foreigners’ prices double was their habit, and it happened at every shop or stall. The only difference was that at those places without Huang Niu, it was just you against the boss in a battle of wits.
Watching Sinba nearly pull out his knife while arguing with someone made Shi Tian quietly turn off his phone’s recording. Half an hour of street banter was enough material for him to study tonight when he got home using an online dictionary.
After all that commotion, they left the Seafood Market empty-handed while listening to the shouts behind them. Shi Tian whistled nonchalantly as he got into the car, eager to pick up his package and celebrate his newfound freedom at home.
Xiao Tian had dragged A Heng into trouble! He had managed to squeeze nearly twenty thousand dollars out of A Heng. It seemed this guy was living better in Africa than back home! Lying on the beach of Wild Boar Island, Air Force took a bite of ice cream and turned to Shi Ye.
He wanted to complain about Shi Tian through video calls from Africa, but after a week had passed too quickly; this guy seemed to be enjoying himself over there—good food and drink aside—he even managed to lead A Heng into trouble!
“It’s normal; Xiao Tian brought plenty of Wo Liao with him. Just like when we brought two bags of Plastic Particles back then; A Heng jumped right into trouble! It’s not like when we first arrived; just wait and see what kind of mess this guy gets into!”
After replying to Air Force One’s message, Shi Ye let out a sigh as he handed his phone over to Air Force. It was all too much!
