Liang Tian led the group through the treacherous cave filled with traps, each step fraught with uncertainty and danger. As they focused intently on the potential hazards ahead, Xiao Zhan, in a moment of panic while dodging a massive boulder that had fallen from above, accidentally stepped on what appeared to be an ordinary stone slab.
With a loud crack, the slab sank down, followed by the sound of mechanisms activating. The group looked around warily, and soon noticed that a wall nearby was slowly opening, revealing a hidden chamber. A musty scent wafted from within, and faint glimmers of light flickered inside.
“What… what’s going on?” Xiao Zhan exclaimed in surprise as he gazed at the opening chamber, scratching his head.
Liang Tian's eyes gleamed as he stared into the chamber. “It seems this is an unexpected boon; perhaps we can find important clues about the Evil Artifact. Everyone be cautious and follow me inside.”
The group cautiously entered the chamber, which was small and lined with ancient bookshelves. In the center stood a stone pedestal holding an object that emitted a faint glow. Liang Tian approached it, examining the item closely. It had an unusual shape, resembling a cauldron yet not quite one, covered in mysterious runes that shimmered softly as if telling ancient tales.
“I suspect this object might be related to the Evil Artifact,” Liang Tian said thoughtfully. He then turned his attention to the old books on the shelves. The pages were yellowed with age, some so fragile that they could crumble at a touch. Liang Tian carefully picked up one book that seemed relatively well-preserved and began to turn its pages slowly.
The text within was obscure and difficult to decipher, but drawing upon his memories from the celestial realm and his extensive knowledge, Liang Tian gradually unraveled its contents. It detailed legends and methods concerning the Evil Artifact, as well as the connection between the Dark Organization and the Evil Artifact.
It turned out that this Evil Artifact was known as the Youming Evil Cauldron, forged by an ancient malevolent being. This cauldron possessed terrifying powers capable of manipulating life and death and overturning reality itself; however, using it required a tremendous cost—countless mortal lives as sacrifices and the casting of extremely Evil Spells.
The Dark Organization was essentially descended from followers of that malevolent being. They had long sought to locate and activate the Youming Evil Cauldron to fulfill their ambition of ruling over the Hidden Cultivation World and even the entire world. For years, they had scoured for clues about this sinister cauldron, and this temple was one of their significant discoveries.
“I never expected the Dark Organization's schemes to be so far-reaching. If they truly activate the Youming Evil Cauldron, the consequences would be unimaginable,” Liang Tian said gravely as he recounted the book's contents to his companions.
Xiao Zhan clenched his fists angrily and declared, “These bastards! They would sacrifice countless lives for their ambitions. We must stop them!”
The other experts from the Hidden Sect echoed their agreement, resolutely stating that they could not allow the Dark Organization's plot to succeed.
Liang Tian nodded and continued to flip through the books, hoping to find more information about the Youming Evil Cauldron, such as its exact location and methods to break or seal it. However, most of the content was incomplete, and it was difficult to piece together a complete clue from the fragmented phrases.
"It seems we need to delve deeper and find the evil cauldron to stop the Dark Organization," Liang Tian said firmly as he closed the book.
The group understood the daunting task ahead of them, but at that moment, they were united by a single belief: to stop the Dark Organization's evil plans at all costs. In this hidden chamber, although they had made unexpected discoveries, they also recognized more clearly the challenges that lay ahead. However, for the peace and tranquility of the Hidden Cultivation World and for the lives of countless mortals, they showed no signs of retreat. Resolutely, they prepared to leave the chamber and continue their journey filled with unknowns and dangers.
