After driving back the Evil Wolf, Liang Tian and the others did not dare to relax for a moment. They continued to cautiously delve deeper into Wan Xian Cliff. As they advanced, the dangers around them became increasingly apparent, with various traps springing up unexpectedly.
The first threat they encountered was a barrage of falling boulders. These massive stones were as large as houses and came crashing down with tremendous force. Liang Tian's eyes sharpened, always alert to the movements around him. When the first boulder fell, he quickly shouted, "Everyone be careful, spread out and avoid!" Upon hearing this, the group immediately executed their skills, darting in different directions. The boulder smashed into the ground with a deafening roar, sending dust flying everywhere.
However, the danger did not stop there. Next, hidden spikes erupted from the ground. The seemingly flat surface suddenly revealed a dense array of sharp spikes that glinted ominously in the light. Liang Tian, with his keen perception, sensed the anomaly in the ground and alerted everyone in advance. The group either leaped into the air or used their Treasure to hover above, skillfully avoiding the spike traps.
Just as one wave of danger subsided, another arose. Ahead lay an area shrouded in thick mist, dense enough to feel tangible and exuding an eerie aura. Liang Tian was well aware of the peril posed by such mist; it could easily induce hallucinations. Yet, in pursuit of the celestial herbs, they had no choice but to brave it.
"Everyone stay close to me and don't get separated. Channel your spiritual energy to protect your hearts and stay alert," Liang Tian instructed as he stepped into the mist first. The others followed closely behind, each circulating their spiritual energy to form a faint Shield around themselves.
In the mist, visibility was severely limited; they could only determine their positions by the faint spiritual energy fluctuations from one another. Suddenly, Xiao Zhan let out a startled cry, believing he was engulfed in flames and began to flee in panic. Liang Tian's heart sank; he immediately realized that Xiao Zhan had fallen into a hallucination. He understood how dangerous such illusions could be—if Xiao Zhan wasn't awakened in time, he might lose his way in confusion and face dire consequences.
Without hesitation, Liang Tian hurriedly cast the Qingxin Spell. He quickly formed hand seals while chanting incantations, sending forth a gentle white light from his hands toward Xiao Zhan. The moment the light touched Xiao Zhan, his body trembled slightly, and a glimmer of clarity flashed across his previously frantic eyes.
"Xiao Zhan, wake up! It's an illusion!" Liang Tian shouted loudly while increasing the output of his Qingxin Spell. With Liang Tian's efforts, Xiao Zhan finally regained full consciousness. Looking around at the mist with lingering fear, he said, "That was close! I really thought I was surrounded by flames."
"Everyone be cautious; this mist can induce hallucinations—never let your guard down," Liang Tian reminded them again. The group nodded in agreement and followed Liang Tian more vigilantly as they slowly traversed through the misty area.
As they moved through the fog, Liang Tian remained vigilant for any signs of danger. Drawing on his extensive experience and sharp senses, he led them time and again away from hidden threats lurking within the mist. Finally, they successfully emerged from the foggy region. The path ahead appeared much calmer for now; however, everyone knew that the dangers of Wan Xian Cliff were far from over—more severe challenges awaited them ahead…
