After enduring countless hardships in Wan Xian Cliff, Liang Tian and his companions finally discovered the long-sought celestial herb. At that moment, the herb grew on the edge of a steep cliff, surrounded by a mysterious and peaceful aura. The herb itself emitted a gentle glow, reminiscent of the warm sun in spring, which stood out warmly against the eerie backdrop of Wan Xian Cliff, as if it were bravely resisting the surrounding malevolent energies.
Liang Tian gazed at the celestial herb, a flicker of excitement and relief crossing his eyes. They had faced numerous challenges along their journey, each step fraught with hardship and danger, and now their goal was within reach. He cautiously approached the herb, moving lightly and carefully, fearful of disturbing this hard-won treasure.
However, just as Liang Tian prepared to reach out and pluck the herb, a deafening roar echoed throughout the valley. The group felt a sharp pain in their ears, as if countless needles were piercing them. Suddenly, a massive Guardian Beast appeared out of thin air. This Divine Beast resembled a phoenix, engulfed in raging flames that shimmered in an unusual Azure Blue, radiating powerful waves of spiritual energy as it flickered and danced. Its eyes were like two enormous rubies, exuding authority and vigilance as they fixed intently on Liang Tian and his companions.
"Everyone be careful!" Liang Tian quickly warned, retreating swiftly to regroup with his companions. They all assumed battle stances, gripping their weapons tightly and channeling their spiritual energy in preparation for this formidable fight.
Xiao Zhan looked at the Divine Beast before them without a trace of fear; instead, he was filled with fighting spirit. "Damn it! After all we've been through to find this celestial herb, we cannot let this beast stop us!"
An elder from Lingxiao Sect spoke gravely, "This Divine Beast is extraordinarily powerful. Just look at how its flames surround it; it must be adept at fire-based spells. Everyone must respond with caution."
As soon as he finished speaking, the Divine Beast let out another roar and flapped its wings violently. Instantly, countless flames shot toward Liang Tian and his companions like arrows. The flames moved with incredible speed, reaching them in an instant. Liang Tian quickly summoned a Spiritual Shield to protect everyone within its confines. The flames struck the Shield with a sizzling sound, causing it to flicker as it bore immense pressure.
"Everyone attack together; distract its attention!" Liang Tian shouted. Upon hearing this, everyone unleashed their respective spells. The experts from Lingxiao Sect condensed their spiritual energy into golden runes that flew toward the Divine Beast, glowing brilliantly in mid-air and containing immense power; meanwhile, the Sword Cultivators from Wan Jian Sect swung their swords in unison, creating intersecting streams of sword energy that formed a vast net around the Divine Beast.
Xiao Zhan wielded his long knife and took advantage of the distraction created by his companions' attacks to dash toward the Divine Beast like lightning. He seized the opportunity to leap high into the air, bringing down his knife with tremendous force toward the beast's neck. The Divine Beast sensed the danger; twisting its neck, it evaded Xiao Zhan's strike while opening its mouth wide to unleash a thick pillar of flame. Xiao Zhan quickly executed his movement technique to dodge just in time as the flames grazed past him, scorching the ground into charred earth.
Seeing that the Divine Beast was temporarily occupied by his companions, Liang Tian felt a surge of determination. He knew that in order to successfully pluck the celestial herb, they needed to end this quickly. Thus, he gathered all his spiritual energy to prepare for his strongest spell. With swift hand seals and incantations flowing from his lips, radiant light enveloped him as a powerful and mysterious force converged within.
" Celestial-Demonic Sky-Sundering Slash!" Liang Tian shouted fiercely as a massive wave of spiritual energy surged from his hands, carrying an overwhelming momentum straight toward the Divine Beast. The creature sensed this formidable threat; a flicker of wariness flashed in its eyes but it did not retreat—instead, it spread its wings wide and allowed its flames to surge dramatically around it in an attempt to withstand Liang Tian's attack... An intense battle between man and beast had begun; whether Liang Tian and his companions could triumph over the Divine Beast and seize the celestial herb remained uncertain.
