Chen Xuan soon returned to the Farm.
Moo.
Qing Xuan, frolicking around the Farm, was the first to spot Chen Xuan. It joyfully ran over and dove into Chen Xuan's embrace.
The little one was growing so fast.
Chen Xuan chuckled as he stroked Qing Xuan's head. Under Jin Xiong's careful care, in less than a week, Qing Xuan had already grown to Chen Xuan's waist. At this rate, it wouldn't be long before Qing Xuan turned into a strong young bull.
Moo.
Qing Xuan happily nudged its head against Chen Xuan, blinking its big eyes and looking at him expectantly.
With the Perception Technique, Chen Xuan understood Qing Xuan's intentions. He chuckled softly and said, "You little rascal, you're still so young, and you want me to ride you? Let's play for now; we can talk about that when you're older."
He pretended to swat at Qing Xuan.
Qing Xuan showed a human-like smile and ran off giggling.
The Watermelon Demon was busy tending to his watermelons when Qing Xuan sneakily approached. With a quick jab of its horns, it lifted a round watermelon and took off running.
Fuming, the Watermelon Demon rushed out, shouting, "Don't be naughty! Put that down; that's for adults!"
Oh well, let it be! Chen Xuan shook his head, feeling helpless yet amused at Qing Xuan's increasingly mischievous antics. He could only smile and indulge it.
He waved his hand, and Jin Xiong and the Watermelon Demon came over, ready to lend a hand.
Before long, three trucks arrived at the Farm.
Chen Xuan directed the trucks to park in suitable spots and began unloading the cargo.
Three trucks unloaded nearly three thousand fruit seedlings, piling them up in the watermelon field into several small hills.
"Take a look; is there anything else you need?"
After unloading, the truck workers respectfully asked for Chen Xuan's opinion. When they saw him wave his hand dismissively, they secretly sighed in relief and quickly drove away.
The farm flashed past them, and the workers, with their limited experience, looked on in shock at the vast expanse of land.
"Get ready to work!"
Chen Xuan gazed at the small mountains of fruit seedlings before him, preparing to start planting. Jin Xiong and the Watermelon Demon rubbed their hands together, eager to get going. Even Qing Xuan rushed over, her big eyes wide with curiosity as she tilted her head and picked up a seedling, ready to contribute her small effort.
"Kid, you didn't eat my watermelon!"
Chen Xuan laughed heartily and waved his hand, signaling the start of their work.
Suddenly, footsteps approached from behind.
Chen Xuan turned around to see the long-missed Old Xin hurrying over.
"A rare visitor!"
Chen Xuan's eyes lit up as he greeted him with a smile. "Old Xin, what kind of monsters have you brought me this time?"
"I didn’t bring you any monsters today," Old Xin chuckled. He casually glanced around, his gaze sweeping over Jin Xiong and the other demon before his brow furrowed as he focused on Qing Xuan.
"This little calf feels... strange," Old Xin said, puzzled.
"Strange? This is just my newly born calf."
Chen Xuan's heart raced as he noticed Jin Xiong's face change dramatically, his expression filled with unease.
With a swift movement, Chen Xuan stepped in front of Old Xin, blocking his line of sight. He gently patted Qing Xuan's horns with his right hand behind his back.
Qing Xuan was clever; she immediately mooed and bolted away.
"How odd."
