The Old Village Chief led Old Zhao and others into the courtyard, followed by a group of elegantly dressed individuals. Surrounding the courtyard, several cameras were positioned, their lenses focused on Chen Dahai and Zhang Cuifang. "Oh, oh, oh." Chen Dahai finally understood, his face flushing as he awkwardly extended his hands.
Old Zhao chuckled and shook hands with Chen Dahai. His calm demeanor and relaxed expression stood in stark contrast to Chen Dahai's nervousness. This scene made everyone around them shake their heads and smile, while the villagers on the outskirts burst into laughter. Even viewers on the live streaming platform found it amusing and began to joke about it.
"Old Zhao's presence is so overwhelming that this farmer is terrified!" one viewer commented.
"Hahaha! He probably hasn’t seen much; it’s normal for country folks," another added.
"This nervous little guy is killing me!" someone else chimed in.
The cameras captured this moment perfectly, and the program’s effect exceeded expectations as the online viewership quickly surpassed one hundred thousand. The staff responsible for live streaming excitedly gestured to each other.
Noticing their gestures, Old Zhao understood what was happening. He smiled gently and said, "We’re from a local culture program; just call me Old Zhao. We’re here to take a casual look, don’t be nervous."
"Oh, oh, okay," Chen Dahai stammered, still looking quite tense.
The Old Village Chief shook his head helplessly and stepped in to ease the situation. "This family is one of our village's star families; Dahai's son is quite remarkable—a good kid indeed. He just graduated from Tsinghua University."
"Tsinghua University graduated?"
Old Zhao raised his eyebrows in surprise, not expecting that in such a small village, there would be a graduate from a prestigious university. The expressions of the production team varied, clearly caught off guard by Old Village Chief's revelation. Hearing that the family had a university graduate made them show a bit more respect.
As Old Village Chief spoke about his son, Chen Dahai's face lit up with pride. Seeing Old Village Chief sigh, Old Zhao's expression shifted. He thought it was because someone had just exposed his earlier statement. He shook his head and smiled.
