It was a humanoid machine standing at a height of six feet. At first glance, it seemed not much different from the one Chen Xuan had just moved in. However, upon closer inspection, Chen Xuan noticed many differences.
For instance, when the machine was first delivered, Chen Xuan had opened it up and found it to be cold and dark, composed of various assembled parts. Although the components were quite intricate, even from a distance, it was clear that this was a humanoid machine.
Now, as it slowly walked out of the courtyard, the machine modified by Sun He appeared exceptionally refined. At first glance, it resembled a human with slightly rough skin, making it difficult to discern that it was a machine at all.
Particularly striking were the eye sockets of the machine, which had previously been a dull and hollow silver. Somehow, Sun He had transformed them into vividly black pupils.
The humanoid machine walked with slightly stiff movements until it reached Chen Xuan and the others. Pointing at the machine, Sun He said proudly, "Kid, given your limited conditions here, I could only modify it like this. If the environment were better, with my Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion's Puppet secret technique, I could have provided you with an even more satisfactory result."
Chen Xuan remained silent. He carefully examined the humanoid machine once more before quietly stepping into the small courtyard. Inside, there was a chaotic pile of parts scattered across the ground. A disassembled drone was prominently visible.
Chen Feng scanned the area and began to grasp the situation in his mind.
He stepped out of the courtyard, pointing at the machine and said in a deep voice, "Show us what you can do."
"Sure," Sun He shrugged.
The group made their way to the lakeside. The Watermelon Demon brought out a large array of tools and laid down a pile of crop seeds on the ground. Everyone looked at the machine with anticipation.
Sun He smiled faintly and asked, "So, where do we start?"
The group exchanged glances. After a moment, the Watermelon Demon stepped forward. He pointed at a bag of seeds on the ground and said, "Let's start with sowing."
"Alright," Sun He nodded.
He made no further movements but shouted directly at the machine, "Sow the seeds, three inches apart, five inches deep."
The machine's eyes flickered with a red glow as it lowered its head to look at the seeds on the ground. It took a step forward, picked up a seed from the ground, and to Chen Xuan's astonishment, it tore open the seed's packaging with one swift motion. Then, with its mouth wide open, it poured all the seeds into its mouth.
The machine's actions startled everyone. Chen Xuan leaned in for a closer look and realized that there was actually a thick tube inside the machine's mouth. The seeds quickly traveled through the tube and entered its body.
Gulping sounds echoed as one bag of seeds was swiftly swallowed, followed by another. In total, enough seeds to plant an acre were consumed in just moments.
The mechanical being's eyes flashed with a red light. It strode forward confidently, leaving deep footprints on the ground. The prints spread across an area the size of an acre.
After about ten minutes, the mechanical being returned to its original spot, standing still and motionless.
Is that it? The crowd was left in confusion, completely unaware of what the mechanical being had accomplished during its walk.
In the face of their bewilderment, Sun He simply smiled without speaking.
At that moment, Chen Xuan finally noticed something unusual. He approached the ground where the mechanical being had walked and crouched down to take a closer look. To his surprise, he discovered a small pit about five inches deep.
As he dug into the pit, he found a seed nestled inside! This was precisely the seed that the mechanical being had just swallowed!
This revelation sparked something in Chen Xuan's mind. He searched again just four inches away from this spot and, sure enough, found another seed.
