"Is this Doctor Wang?"
As Xu Haigui put down his chopsticks to eat dinner, congratulations came from the other end of the phone: "General Xu, you are blessed with two big grandsons, one weighing seven pounds and eight ounces, and the other seven pounds and seven ounces. Both mother and children are healthy."
"Thank you, thank you, Doctor Wang. I appreciate it," Xu Haigui said joyfully as he hung up the phone. Seeing his wife looking over, he grinned widely, his smile reaching his eyes. "Two big boys, one at seven pounds and eight ounces and the other at seven pounds and seven ounces!"
"Are the babies that big? Oh my goodness!" Li Yanhong exclaimed in disbelief. When she gave birth to Xiao Lei, he was only six pounds, and she cried out in pain. What kind of pain would come with nearly eight pounds?
Meanwhile, in the hospital room, Xu Li was leaning over the two cribs, grinning like a fool. The two babies had skin as red as monkey bottoms and were sound asleep, occasionally smacking their lips—surely destined to be little gluttons.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Xu's elder?" Just after finishing washing a urinal, Natasha was stopped by a young girl from Huaxia. She looked at her warily. "Who are you?"
The girl pointed to Xu Haigui nearby, who was holding a large red paper bag, and then nodded towards Li Yanhong with a smile. "I’m General Xu’s staff member; General Xu wants to see the babies."
Natasha paused for a moment before nodding. "Let them wait a bit; Misha doesn’t want to see them right now. I’ll have him come back later."
After saying that, she returned to the hospital room. After placing the urinal down, she tidied up her two daughters' hair before turning to the cheerful Xu Li. "Misha and Anna need some meat soup. Should I stay here or will you watch them?"
"I'll go to the supermarket to buy some crucian carp and pig trotters to make soup for them," Xu Li replied eagerly. He got up with a smile, kissed both girls on their foreheads, and hurried out the door. Hiding around the corner were Xu Haigui and Li Yanhong. Once Xu Li went downstairs, they entered the hospital room with their items.
Xu Haigui looked at the two sleeping sisters on the hospital beds. Although their faces were pale, a hint of amazement flashed in his eyes as he extended his right hand to shake Natasha's: "I am Xu Li's father, Xu Haigui."
The young girl translated smoothly beside them while Natasha smiled and nodded. "I am his mother, Natasha."

Li Yanhong's lips twitched slightly as she thought to herself: If you're his mother, then what am I?
Xu Haigui didn't mind; he took out two jewelry boxes from the paper bag and opened them to reveal two pairs of deep black bangles that reflected light. "These are gifts for Anna and Eva from Ali's mother."
As he introduced Li Yanhong to Natasha without waiting for her refusal, Li Yanhong placed the boxes on the bedside table. Then she took out another jewelry box containing a translucent green jade bracelet and a jade Guanyin pendant: "This is a gift for our in-laws."
Although Natasha hadn't seen much of the world, she could tell these items were valuable and quickly waved her hands. "No, no!"
"Please take them," Li Yanhong insisted as she skillfully pulled Natasha aside.
With excitement in his heart, Xu Haigui slowly approached the crib and squatted down to look at the sleeping chubby baby inside. A smile gradually spread across his face as he placed a longevity lock, bracelet, and anklet beside the crib before setting down two large stacks of red envelopes at the foot of the bed.
