The mere sight of that tail, over a meter long, sent a chill down the spines of the few present. Not to mention those emerald green eyes, baring teeth and issuing low growls of intimidation: "Grrr." 0

Xiong Da and Xiong Er stood upright, baring their fangs as they roared at the tiger: "This is our territory! Take your cub and get lost!" 0

Andreev might not have understood, but Xu Li certainly did. His eyes quickly scanned the surroundings. They were already familiar with the brown bear; if another Siberian Big Spotted Cat showed up, wouldn’t that be delightful? 0

“Look over there,” Makarov said, pointing to a rustling in the grass behind the tiger, where something seemed to be moving, accompanied by a faint sound of blood splattering. 0

“Do you think we can take it down with one shot?” Xu Li asked softly. The others tightened their grips on their firearms. Andreev instinctively swallowed hard. “Should we give it a try? I’m loaded with deer rounds; with enough firepower, we could definitely take it out.” 0

“Alright, listen to me—” 0

Before he could finish his sentence, the tiger took a few steps back, lowering its head to inspect three bloodied little bundles. Only two of them were wriggling. It picked up the two moving ones in its mouth, glanced at the humans, then turned and swiftly disappeared into the depths of the forest. 0

“Should we chase it?” Andreev looked at Xu Li. “These creatures have a strong sense of territory; they know they’ve intruded into brown bear territory and probably won’t return. But if it gives us peace of mind, we could follow and kill it.” 0

Xu Li scratched his chin thoughtfully. “Let it go; it’s already run off. If we pursue and it decides to fight back, we’d be the ones in trouble. Let’s head back.” 0

Just as they were about to leave, Valery brought over one of the bloodied bundles and held it out to Xu Li. “This is an abandoned Tiger Cub. It’s still alive; should we take it?” 0

“Shouldn’t we? The color seems off…” 0

Xu Li took the Tiger Cub and peeled away some of its mucous coating. The faint white fur and black stripes made him raise an eyebrow. “White? It’ll definitely be beautiful when it grows up.” 0

He happily cradled the Tiger Cub as he walked out. The two large hamsters glanced at the direction where the tiger had left before snorting and leisurely following suit. When they returned home, they announced that the crisis was over, and everyone rushed over to Xu Li’s side to inquire whether they had killed the tiger. 0

As Andreev explained what had happened, Xu Li pulled out an old baby bottle he had kept from long ago and carefully fed the Little Guy. Several children gathered around him; the eldest and second eldest were already starting to compare heights, looking like little adults. 0

The other four children were twins: Lao San was a girl named Xu Jiajia, Lao Si was Xu Jiaguo, Old Five was Xu Jiaping, and then there was Old Liu, Xu Jia'an, who had just recently fallen in love. After these children were born, he had undergone a vasectomy. 0

The other kids were easygoing, but Lao San was quite mischievous. Despite being a girl, she spent her days climbing trees for bird nests or fishing in the river. There weren’t any dolls in her room that girls typically liked; whenever her three younger brothers misbehaved even slightly, she would give them a good thrashing. At home, her words carried more weight than Xu Li's. 0

Once he had settled the well-fed Little Guy comfortably, he washed his hands and prepared dinner. Old Liu peeked at his siblings who were busy on their phones and quietly followed him into the kitchen. He tugged at Xu Li’s pants leg: “Dad, I just made up with Lisa! Her birthday is at the beginning of next month, and she invited me over to her house! I want to…” 0

Xu Li ruffled his son’s hair affectionately. “You really are something else! While your siblings are busy studying or pursuing their own interests, you’re quietly preparing to start dating—I'm quite pleased!” 0
