He parked the car and opened the door to help his son with a teddy bear and a beautifully wrapped gift box.
The Little Guy held onto the balloon tightly. After his father closed the door, he followed him into the apartment. With his father by his side, he always felt particularly at ease.
"Did you bring the red envelope?"
Before they exited the elevator, Xu Li asked with some concern. The Little Guy nodded, "I packed some Rubles."
The little fool wasn’t even afraid of being laughed at for such a small amount.
Xu Li handed the gift box to his son, took out his wallet, and counted out more than ten large bills. He exchanged the pitiful Rubles for a more substantial amount, then sealed the red envelope and tucked it into the child's pocket.
He pinched his little cheek, "Remember, kiddo, being generous always leaves a good impression on others."
"Okay, I remember, Dad."
The Little Guy grinned widely. The two of them walked out of the elevator and stood in front of a door. Xu Li placed the teddy bear on his son's shoulder, rang the doorbell, and then returned to wait by the elevator. "I'll come pick you up in the evening."
"Goodbye, Dad."
Just as Xiao Lao Liu turned around, the security door opened. Xiao Dasha saw the boy standing there with his hands full of things and quickly stepped aside. "Welcome, little friend!"
"Thank you, sister! You're really pretty!"
He politely replied. Just as he took off his shoes, Lisa appeared in her little pink dress and came to the door. Seeing him with the teddy bear hanging from his shoulder filled her eyes with surprise. "Peter, thank you!"
"Lisa, you're so beautiful! Happy birthday!"
The Little Guy handed the teddy bear to Lisa and then gave the balloon to Dasha before presenting the gift box to Lisa. "Last time I was wrong; I shouldn't have kissed you in front of Mary and the others. From now on, I'll ask for your permission first, okay?"
Dasha held onto the balloon while Anan recorded everything on camera, already amused by this little guy who spoke without thinking.
Lisa scrunched her cute little nose. "Don't say that."
"Oh, I’ll listen to you."
The Little Guy grinned widely; his two rows of little white teeth were especially striking. Lisa held onto the teddy bear with one hand and carried the somewhat heavy gift box with the other as she led Peter into the living room.
"You’re here, Peter."
"Peter, you're so handsome."
"Isn't your brother coming?"
The little girls immediately surrounded Peter, chattering away as they asked about Lao Si and Old Five. Peter shrugged, "They transferred to Huaxia."
As soon as the girls heard this, their faces fell. Anan carefully examined the boy with the full head of black hair and a cherubic face.
He had thick black eyebrows, big brown eyes, a high nose bridge, and plump lips. His face had the chiseled features of a Westerner while still retaining the softness of an Easterner. Even the older boys had to give him a thumbs up and praise, "This little guy is really handsome!"
