Seeing her nod eagerly like a chick pecking at rice, and looking at Lisa's eager eyes, Xu Li thought for a moment and said, "How about this: starting next Monday, you, Lisa, Peter, and Uncle Andong will study hard. If your grades can rank in the top thirty of your grade before summer vacation next year, I’ll take you all to Hua Xia for two months. How does that sound?"
They hooked their pinkies together. "Pinky swear! No changing your mind!"
Xu Li retracted his hand and kissed both girls on their heads. "Get to bed early. Tomorrow morning I'll take you shopping. If you see anything you like, just let me know."
"Okay, goodnight Dad!"
"Goodnight Uncle!"
"Goodnight!"
He turned off the bedside lamp and left the room, heading to Peter's bedroom. He found the two of them had shut down their computers and were snuggled up in bed playing on their phones. "Don't forget to wash your faces and brush your teeth. Get to bed early; we’re going shopping tomorrow morning."
"Got it, Dad!"
"Uncle!"
After closing the door, he returned to his own bedroom where Anna and Eva were leaning against the headboard reading. When her husband came back, Eva lifted her right foot. "Misha, could you give my foot a rub? I waited at the bank for so long today; wearing high heels is uncomfortable."
Xu Li took her foot gently and began to massage it. "With your weight, all that meat is pressing down on your feet and knee joints. Why not just wear sneakers like Anna?"
"But look at her figure! She can pull off high heels," Eva retorted before closing her eyes to enjoy her husband's massage. Meanwhile, Anna bit her finger and said, "I roughly calculated this afternoon that if we want to build a small recording studio with all the equipment and instruments needed, it would cost at least over ten thousand. Even if the equipment is top-notch now, in two years it might become outdated."
"If we're going to buy it, let's get the best so we can record songs that sound good for others too."
Eva's feet were not small but looked fair and delicate. He kissed her feet gently before tucking them under the covers and then went to take a shower.

In the evening, Xu Li introduced Ivan, who had just come home, to Andrei's family and Anna while helping Natasha settle into the living room. He then brought a bowl of rock sugar pear soup to his mother-in-law. "Mom, drink some pear soup; it's better than taking medicine."
