Aiming at the balloon, I steadied my breath and focused.
Bang!
Angelina put down her rifle, watching the red balloon burst in the distance. Overjoyed, she hugged Eva, who had been guiding her. "Auntie, I hit it!"
Eva spun around with Angelina in her arms before encouraging her to continue shooting. Xu Weixia stood nearby, grinning as he filmed the moment, while Peter and Xu Weihua busily inflated more balloons and tied them to wooden stakes.
Anna mounted a Black Stallion, accompanied by a smaller white horse. Zhuo Ya waved her whip excitedly, urging the horse forward. "Giddy up!"
Next, Eva tossed a loaded rifle to Anna. Zhuo Ya pulled on the reins, bringing her horse to a stop beside them. Dressed in a Black Down Jacket and Fleece Leggings, with Black High-Top Leather Boots on her feet, Anna raised the Rifle, took aim briefly, and began firing.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
There were thirty irregular wooden stakes, each tied with a balloon. After finishing her round of shooting, three balloons still swayed in mid-air. Anna pouted and tossed the Rifle back to Eva before jumping off her horse, handing the reins to her sister. "I don’t believe you can beat my score."
Hmph, who do you think you are?
As Eva reloaded the rifle, she turned to her youngest son. "Help Mommy tie up the balloons."
"Okay!"
Xu Weihua led his two younger brothers into another round of inflating balloons while Zhuo Ya galloped across the snow on her white horse. The weather was perfect today—no wind and warm sunshine.
Xu Weixia held a selfie stick, cheering for Eva. Angelina looked up at Eva on horseback with admiration. "Auntie, you look so cool! And your figure is amazing!"
"You’re still young; when you grow up, you’ll definitely be able to charm Nikola," Anna said as she put an arm around the little girl’s shoulders.
Eva pulled on the reins, causing the Black Horse to rear up and paw at the ground. With her upper body steady and legs moving with the horse's rhythm, she aimed at the wooden stakes not far away and began pulling the trigger: Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Compared to Anna's somewhat chaotic shooting style, Eva unleashed a rapid-fire barrage with precision. As soon as Peter saw that all thirty shots had hit their targets, he jumped up in excitement. "Yay! Mom is amazing!"
Hmph, how about that?
Eva dismounted and playfully tilted her chin at Anna and the others. Anna rolled her eyes and ignored her while Angelina clapped her hands in awe. "Auntie is so impressive!"
"Of course!"
Zhuo Ya guided her white horse closer to them and shook her pink-painted whip. "Mommy, I want to play too!"
"Did you hear? Your sister wants to play too, so hurry up and blow up the balloons."
Eva took the phone from Xu Weixia's grasp and gave him a playful kick on the backside. Xu Weixia shrugged and squatted down next to Xu Weihua, as the three brothers continued their struggle to inflate the balloons.
"Old Four and Old Five are just fine; they love blowing up balloons the most."
Xu Weihua tied off a balloon and pulled out another one, holding it up to his mouth. "Those two little brats are having a blast. Grandpa and Grandma took them on vacation to Sanya a couple of days ago."
