Grinning, he slung the shotgun over his shoulder and made his way back. It was unlikely they would ever recover.
When he returned to the yard, it was already evening. He took a nice shower and prepared plenty of food for himself. Xu Li nodded and pinched his daughter's cheek gently: "I was too exhausted recently and planned to get some good rest. I’m sorry for worrying you all."
"You little rascal! If you hadn’t woken up soon, I would have called Andrei to report your demise!"
Pushkin had lost half of his teeth and spoke unclearly but shot him a glare before turning to leave. Valery chuckled softly and waved goodbye to Xu Li as he helped Pushkin back home. Seeing that Xu Li was fine, everyone else returned to their own tasks.
