Li Yanhong pulled Angelina and Kamila into the back seat, closing the door behind them. They chatted about something that was unclear, but soon Xu Lei and his two nephews strode over. Xu Jia stood on tiptoe and threw an arm around his older brother's shoulder. "Big Brother, in a couple of years, Old Five and I are going to challenge you. I’m definitely going to take first place!" 0

Xu Weihua pinched his loose belly and tugged at it. "Let’s talk about it after you lose some weight." 0

"I’ve already lost over thirty pounds in the past six months! By the end of the year, I’ll definitely be slimmed down," he boasted as he boldly opened the car door. 0

"Hey!" Angelina looked at her somewhat bewildered younger uncle and playfully pinched his cheek. "Who am I?" 0

"Sister Natasha!" he replied with a goofy smile before turning to Kamila and calling out, "Sister-in-law!" 0

"Mm," Kamila responded shyly. 0

Li Yanhong chuckled and asked, "What’s wrong, my dear grandson?" 0

"When are we going to eat? I’m hungry." 0

"We’ll head out right now." 0

Xu Haigui helped his grandson into the co-driver's seat, fastened his own seatbelt, and started the car, slowly driving away from the parking lot. Following behind were Xu Lei in a Hongqi car and another vehicle carrying their assistants and agents. The three cars wove through the bustling city center, arriving at a hotel near a siheyuan after about half an hour. 0

After dinner, everyone rested. Over the next three days, the brothers took their girlfriends and assistants along with Xu Haigui to visit most of the major attractions in the capital. The night before last, Li Yanhong took Angelina and Kamila to a jewelry store where he bought two sets of jade and gold jewelry for his granddaughter-in-law. He worried that the young girl might still be growing, so he bought slightly larger jade bracelets. 0

The sight of those strings of zeros in the display case made Kamila nervous and flustered, while Angelina remained calm. Li Yanhong noticed both of their expressions; he liked both girls very much. If his grandson hadn’t told him that Kamila was an athlete, he wouldn’t have known what sport she participated in. 0

"Grandma bought me so many expensive gifts," Kamila exclaimed as she flung herself into Xu Weihua's arms after returning to their room. "A green stone pendant cost tens of thousands! Converted to rubles, that’s nearly ten million! Oh my gosh, I can’t even imagine." 0

Xu Weihua tightened his hold around his girlfriend's waist. "We’ve hardly seen Grandma at all," he said. "You’re really good-looking, unlike my dad and brother; their faces are all hairy and ugly." He continued, "She won’t let me or Old Two go back home. When we had breaks before, we just stayed at the ranch and occasionally went to Irkutsk for a while." 0

"Why is that?" Kamila asked, puzzled. 0

Xu Weihua scratched his head in confusion. "I don’t know either. My mom doesn’t say anything about it; they don’t tell me or Old Two anything either. We’re afraid to ask Dad because we don’t want to get beaten." 0

"Has your uncle ever hit you?" Kamila asked with wide eyes, curious. 0

Xu Weihua chuckled bitterly. "Oh, way too many times! When Old Two and I were little, we were quite mischievous—loved riding bears through the woods looking for bird nests. As we got older, we got into shooting and often snuck Dad’s gun to hunt in the woods." 0

"Every time Dad caught us, we got a beating. Once Old Two stole a hand grenade—don’t ask me where he got the strength—but he actually pulled out the pin and threw it like a firecracker into the outdoor toilet in our backyard. It ended up blowing it apart." 0

He smacked his lips together as he recalled the memory. "Then Old Two and I had to lie in bed getting beaten by Dad for over ten days." 0

Kamila's eyes held no sympathy; she merely covered her mouth, stifling a laugh. 0
