Angelina took a sip of her milk tea and patted Nikola on the shoulder with a hint of seriousness. "Don't worry, my grandfather has a good impression of you overall. I just wonder if you'll be scared when you meet him." 0

As the traffic light turned green, Xu Weixia slowly drove across the road at a steady pace. He reached over and pinched his girlfriend's cheek playfully. "Your grandfather is like my grandfather; we’re practically family. He will definitely like me. You must be worried that he’ll like me more and forget about his little jealous granddaughter." 0

"Stop being so full of yourself," Angelina retorted, swatting his hand away. Just then, a car behind them started flashing its lights, and the high beams reflected off their faces in the rearview mirror. Xu Weixia frowned and prepared to pull over, but Angelina, feeling irritated, slapped his shoulder. "Ignore him; he’s just rude." 0

Xu Weixia didn’t want to escalate things with strangers. He smiled and gently urged, "There’s no need to be upset, Angelina. Maybe they have an emergency? We don’t need to—" 0

Suddenly, the car skidded on the slick ground from the melting snow, narrowly stopping just half a meter from the vehicle in front. Xu Weixia glanced at the burly men getting out of that car and quickly locked the doors. 0

A man wearing a fur-lined hat knocked on their window. Xu Weixia rolled down the glass and smiled at him. "I’ve already cleared the way; is there something else you need?" 0

"Don’t shoot the messenger," he thought, knowing they were in the wrong first. The man nodded and was about to return to his car when their employer stumbled over, taking unsteady steps toward them. He leaned in to peer inside, his gaze immediately locking onto Angelina's face as she glared back at him. 0

"Don’t think just because you’re driving some junk car that you’re special," the drunkard sneered. "I flashed my lights for you to move; are you blind?" 0

Xu Weixia frowned at him. "I’ve already moved aside; if you really had an emergency, you wouldn’t have gotten out to argue with me." 0

Angelina shot back defiantly, "Don’t think you can bully us just because there are more of you. This is Moscow; everything has to follow the law." 0

"Law?" The drunkard laughed as if he had heard a joke, then suddenly kicked the car door hard and shouted at Xu Weixia, "Get out here so I can beat you up." 0

The bodyguard leader frowned slightly, wanting to say something more, but the drunkard glared at him. "I pay you well; isn’t it your job to handle situations like this?" 0

"Understood, boss," the bodyguard leader replied helplessly. He waved his hand and led several colleagues to forcibly open the car door, dragging Xu Weixia and Angelina out. 0

Xu Weixia kicked one bodyguard in the groin and threw a punch at another but was blocked. Taking advantage of the moment, he pushed against the hood of the car and kicked one bodyguard behind the knee while taking down another with a swift strike. 0

Just as he pulled Angelina into his arms for protection, the drunkard brandished a baseball bat and swung it hard at Xu Weixia's back. 0

Enduring the pain, Xu Weixia pulled Angelina down onto the dirty ground without caring about getting dirty himself. He shielded her with his left arm over his head while wrapping his other arm around her neck to keep her safe beneath him as he braced for impact from the blows coming their way. 0
