Peter and Lisa had no time to talk. As they stealthily moved past the box, Peter immediately swung a shovel and knocked their opponent away, then chuckled, "It's way more fun to hit someone with a shovel than with a knife." 0

Irina nodded, sitting beside Lisa and watching her play for a while. Just as she was about to get up, Lao Si grabbed her arm. Startled, she quickly pulled back a few steps. "What are you doing?" 0

"I—I didn't mean anything," he stammered. 0

Lao Si was surprised by Irina's reaction and scratched his nose. "Is it really that big of a deal?" 0

"Of course it is!" 0

Peter didn’t want Lao Si to get hit, so he quickly stood up and gave him a light punch on the shoulder. "Just play your game." 0

Then he turned to Irina and grinned. "Ignore him; he just got here and doesn’t know any better." 0

"Oh, tell him I don’t like boys touching me! Except for my dad!" 0

"Got it," Peter replied cheerfully, nodding in agreement. He mentally added a note for Irina as he and she headed to the living room to grab some drinks before returning to the study, locking the door behind them. 0

He sat down next to Lisa and handed her a can of Coconut Milk. "That Lao Si and Old Five..." 0

"What about them?" 0

"From now on, keep your distance from Irina." 0

Lao Si rolled his eyes. "Is she a tiger or something?" 0

"Even worse than a tiger," Peter sighed. "Trust me on this; if you annoy Zhuo Ya, you might just end up in a fight. But if you make Irina cry? Besides dealing with Zhuo Ya, your parents will probably give you both a double whammy." 0

"I don't believe it!" 0

"Me neither!" 0

Stubborn Lao Si pouted while Old Five took a bite of watermelon. "We're the real siblings here; she's just Lao San's classmate—at most, she's like a goddaughter. How can she compare with us?" 0

Uncle Andong chuckled as he opened a bottle of Wang Wang Milk and took a big sip. "You guys don’t know yet? Irina is Zhuo Ya's girlfriend; they’re together." 0

"What?!" 0

"No way!" 0

Seeing Lao Si and Old Five's jaws drop, Peter nodded in agreement, noticing Old Five's shocked expression mirrored his own. "If Zhuo Ya finds out you bullied her, it'll just be sibling rivalry at worst. But if Dad finds out... well..." 0

He let out a mischievous laugh, suddenly losing interest in the game as he wrapped an arm around Lisa and turned his attention to the fighting competition on TV. 0

Before going to bed, Lisa was video chatting with her mother, sharing stories about her life on the ranch. Peter quietly opened the door and slipped inside. 0

As soon as Lisa hung up the call, she dove into the fragrant covers, pouting slightly. "What are you doing here? If Uncle and Aunt find out, you'll get in trouble again." 0

"I just want to hold you while you sleep," Peter replied with a grin, tightening his embrace around her waist. Their eyes met, and they slowly closed them together. The warmth of their breaths and the rapid beating of their hearts caused a rush of hormones to surge within them. 0

"Don't dirty the sheets," Lisa said, feeling a bit shy as she covered her face with her small hands. Peter scratched his head and carefully laid his white t-shirt on the bed. 0

Once again, their eyes locked, and Peter's gaze was filled with affection. "Lisa, I love you!" 0

"I love you too, Peter!" she replied. 0

"Ouch!" 0

"Hey, don’t bite my shoulder!" 0

Just then, Anna was about to check if Lisa had fallen asleep when she overheard their conversation. A smile crept onto her lips as she quietly left the bedroom. 0
