Nadia and Ivanov were the same age, both just in their twenties. They met on a dating app and chatted online for over two months before finally meeting in Bratsk. The young girl had a round, doll-like face, a medium height, and a slightly plump figure, which suited Ivanov perfectly.
Misha remarked, "The atmosphere in your village is really nice, unlike ours."
Nadia took a sip of juice as her husband whispered something in her ear. Ivanov offered her a piece of Sweet and Sour Ribs. "Try this Chinese dish made by our village chief. My dad and I specifically asked him to prepare it for our wedding banquet."
"Wow, it's really delicious!" Nadia exclaimed as she enjoyed the ribs, her big eyes nearly squinting with delight. Her father’s relatives, including Gennady and his wife, were also pleased with the food. Every dish on the table was tasty, and the female relatives couldn't stop eating.
"Here comes the King Crab!" Daria announced as she placed a heaping plate of golden crab pieces on the rotating platter before taking away two empty plates. In the kitchen, Xu Li was plating crab legs coated in cheese. "Bring a few more plates," he called out.
Daria hurriedly brought over some clean plates and wiped them dry with a cloth while watching Xu Li work. He held out a crab leg to her mouth. "Stop staring; it’s not like you haven’t seen it before."
As Daria munched on a crab leg, she leaned closer to him. "You haven’t contacted me in days."
"Alright, alright," Xu Li replied while plating more food. "I’ll wait for you in my office tomorrow. Also, invite those other girls; it’s not good to eat alone."
"You're annoying," Daria lightly kicked him before carrying the plate outside. Just as she reached the door, Yisha approached and pinched her cheek. "What are you two chatting about?"
"Just some things you wouldn’t want to hear; after all, you have a husband," Daria replied playfully, glancing at Yegor, who was drinking over there.
Daria gestured towards a certain Fang Nu in the cafeteria and then walked away with a grin. Yisha shook her head as she entered the kitchen. "Kamalov, you should take it easy; you're almost forty now and should know better."
"That doesn’t apply to me; you should worry more about your Yegor," Xu Li chuckled.
"That guy is really something," Yisha sighed. "You just had a baby not long ago, and now you're pregnant again. He should let you rest more; having children is exhausting. I told you all this before."
"I'm not young anymore," Makarov added.
Yisha sighed again. "Yegor is a good husband. While I can still have children, I want to give him more. He doesn’t mind my age or my past; I just want to love him well."
"You both cherish each other; your future will be happy together. Best wishes to you."
Xu Li placed the plate onto Yisha's tray, and they exchanged smiles before parting ways. Yisha carried the tray outside, serving plates to each table. Yegor quickly stood up to take the plate from his wife's hands, looking concerned. "I told you not to help; you're still pregnant!"
"You should drink less; being pregnant means I need to move around more."
Yisha slapped her husband's arm playfully. "Come on, eat up."
"Sure, I finished mine, now it's your turn."
"You don't have to finish yours. Just go to the office and switch with someone else; they’re watching the kids for us anyway."
With that, she turned and walked away, her hips swaying. Sitting next to Yegor, Victor took a big gulp from his glass. "Hahaha, Yegor really is a good husband. Just look at how concerned he is!"
