Without surprise, the Hua Xia Brothers took first place. That night, half of the trending topics were about them, and during their performance, the number of viewers and comments in the broadcast room reached an all-time high for regular programs.
The Xu Family also had their own stable fanbase. They shared videos of the brothers' performances on their respective short video platforms. Xu Weihua posted a video on his social media, teasing his two younger brothers: "Look at you guys!"
Xu Weixia's comment was even more amusing: "Are Lao Si and Old Five planning to challenge your big brother Er Ge in music? Do you believe I’ll have my family spank you?"
Their remarks suddenly made the Hua Xia fans realize a crucial point: if these two brother duos really competed at the International Music Festival, what would that scene look like? Just thinking about this possibility sent the fans into a frenzy.
"Hey Dad, we're here!"
Peter gazed longingly at the yard he hadn't seen for half a year, while Lisa patted the little couple's heads. "Come inside; your older brothers are here too. I'm going to the ranch to slaughter a cow and a sheep. Today we're having barbecue and hot pot."
"By the way, Dad, are Lao Si and Old Five coming this year?" Peter asked with a grin.
Xu Li shook his head. "They have competitions to attend; they won't be coming this year."
"That's too bad!" Peter exclaimed as he pulled Lisa into the house. After changing into slippers, he rushed over to hug Eva. "Mom, I missed you!"
"You little rascal," Eva said, releasing her youngest son and pinching his cheek. "How's training at the gym going?"
"Pretty good! Now even my coach can't keep up with me," Peter replied with a proud grin.
Just then, Zhuo Ya emerged from her bedroom and overheard him. The little girl raised an eyebrow and gestured outside. "Training?"
Confidently, Old Liu hung his outerwear on a hanger before heading to change in his room. Zhuo Ya smirked and followed him into the bedroom. Soon, they both emerged in tank tops and shorts and headed to the gym converted from the warehouse. The older brothers followed them with laughter while Anna and Eva exchanged smiles before bustling into the kitchen.
Angelina clapped her hands outside the iron cage. "Peter, you're such a boy!"
Kamila glanced between Zhuo Ya and Peter before also clapping her hands. "You both need to show off!"
The siblings bounced on the spot to loosen up their necks before stepping forward to fist bump each other. Then they each took a step back as Xu Weihua picked up a piece of metal and struck it down. "Let’s begin!"
Zhuo Ya and Peter's expressions shifted as their fists rose to shoulder level, eyes locked as they slowly approached each other. Zhuo Ya attempted to send her left fist forward, but Peter suddenly crouched down and lunged forward, wrapping his arms around Zhuo Ya's slender waist for a throw. He didn’t let go after throwing her; instead, he held onto her waist and spun them both around on the ground.
Then he pinned Zhuo Ya beneath him, delivering punches to her side that made her head jerk upward in pain. This was precisely the opportunity Peter had been waiting for; he slipped his left arm under her chin and tightened his grip around her neck while his legs coiled around her waist like a python.
No matter how Zhuo Ya struggled or tried to pry his arms off or elbow him in the side, Peter remained steadfast, teeth gritted as he held on tight. After struggling for a while, Zhuo Ya finally tapped his arm in defeat.
