"I... I went to Lana's house!"
Ivan thought there was nothing to hide and said it directly. Victor looked at his son and tightened his fists. "Why did you go to her house?"
"I like her! I want to marry her!"

Victor stood up and punched Ivan in the face, sending him stumbling backward until he fell onto the ground, his head buzzing. Before he could gather himself, Victor was on him again, throwing punch after punch at Ivan's face. "Don't you know that woman is off-limits? Huh? If you want a woman, can't you go after someone else?"
"What are you doing?"
When Xu Li arrived at the ranch, Victor had already been pulled away and was sitting quietly smoking on the side. Ivan was helped up by a few women, carefully wiping his face. He pushed away the women beside him and unsteadily stood up, coming in front of Xu Li. "Village chief, I want to marry Lana. I promised her and Natasha that I would take good care of them from now on."
"Who hit you?"
Xu Li raised his hand and touched Ivan's swollen cheek, looking around at the crowd as he shouted, "Who did this? Who hit him so hard? Did Ivan provoke you?"
"I did," Victor said as he stood up and approached Xu Li. "Ivan stayed at Lana's house last night. Don't make it difficult for him; it's my fault for not teaching him better."
"To hell with you!" Xu Li kicked Victor away, sending him sliding across the ground for at least seven or eight meters. The onlookers couldn't help but wince, secretly lamenting the bad luck that had befallen Xu Li's family.
