"Oh, old man~" Lan Xu replied, surprisingly polite. With that, his head transformed back into its original form and let out a dragon's Roar towards the two grotesque figures before him.

"Who would want to eat such a disgusting thing like you?" The dragon-headed figure spoke in a familiar tone. Turning to me, the dragon head whispered, "Hold on a little longer; it will be over soon." It was both chilling and comforting.
Lan Xu raised his hand to create a barrier while pressing down on the runes of the formation. The runes flickered twice.
"Ahhh—pfft!" Wu Wang exploded.
With a sudden "pop," the Old Monster exploded. The blood mist was blocked by the barrier, and a large amount of Vitality scattered in the air, rushing toward Lan Xu.
"Lan Xu!" I felt anxious and reached out to pull him, wanting to share some of the burden.
"I'm fine." He quickly formed seals, and the pill I had just swallowed transformed into a green light that flew out of my body, merging into a branch. The branch absorbed the Vitality, turning a vibrant green and transparent. He placed the branch into the center of the formation, and after flickering a few times, the entire array dimmed completely.
