Soulgear Suddenly pulled out a dagger, and with astonishing speed and strength, held it against Glo'Mok's neck. Glo'Mok's heart raced, and his throat felt dry. This eccentric Crystar made him feel unpredictable, unlike the usual beastmen.
Glo'Mok suppressed his fear and asked in a trembling voice, "Lord Crystar, may I ask what is the matter?"
Soulgear's eyes became even deeper, his dagger still pressed against Glo'Mok's neck, but his voice was filled with doubt and unease: "Can you truly protect this continent, Glo'Mok? Are you strong enough, wise enough, brave enough to face the impending crisis?"
Glo'Mok felt himself swallowing involuntarily, his mind in turmoil, unsure of how to respond.
Soulgear sighed, put away the dagger, and continued to ask, "Do you really know the significance of being chosen to participate in the preservation ritual?"
Glo'Mok replied blankly, "To have a better chance of becoming Crystar?"
Soulgear shook his head and flicked Glo'Mok's forehead with his finger, saying seriously, "There's a chance, you're going to be Crystar next." Glo'Mok stared wide-eyed in disbelief at Soulgear, filled with shock and confusion.
Soulgear explained, "To be precise, you are my successor now. This means that if I suddenly die or unfortunately disappear, you will be the next Crystar of the Beastman Tribe. Do you understand?"
Then, he shook his head and muttered to himself, "Choosing someone so young, who hasn't even completed warrior training." Then he turned to Glo'Mok and asked, "How old are you now, seventeen? Or eighteen?"
Glo'Mok replied, "I turned eighteen this year."
Soulgear sighed helplessly, as if complaining about something, but then regained composure. He turned to retrieve a blunt sword and threw it to Glo'Mok, saying, "Let me see what you've been practicing."
Then, Soulgear lazily assumed a ready posture, astonishing Glo'Mok. Glo'Mok asked in confusion, "Aren't you going to take out your sword?"
Soulgear looked at him in surprise, as if he had asked a foolish question, and then said, "Your goal today is to make me have to draw my sword."
Glo'Mok was surprised by Soulgear's response and felt completely underestimated. So, he also took a fighting stance, determined to surprise Crystar. Soulgear stood three steps away from him, nodded, and signaled that they could begin.
Glo'Mok began to analyze Soulgear's posture, trying to determine the angle and method of attack. Soulgear seemed to say happily, "At least you won't charge up like a fool, not bad, not bad!"

In the midst of the dusty haze, he swung his blunt sword, attempting to catch Soulgear off guard. Just as Glo'Mok felt surprised, Soulgear opened his eyes and suddenly launched a powerful straight punch, directly hitting Glo'Mok in the face. Glo'Mok was sent flying, his body crashing to the ground with a dull thud, rolling a few times before coming to a stop. He struggled to stand up, his face showing signs of pain.
Soulgear doesn't intend to end things after knocking Glo'Mok down. He begins to instruct Glo'Mok on his movements and tactics, believing that he still thinks he's facing the fools in the training ground. Soulgear emphasizes that one must surpass the opponent by five steps in thought, and if that's not possible, at least have a three-step advantage, and if that's not possible, then have a one-step advantage. He urges Glo'Mok to stand up continuously, preparing for the next round of confrontation. This time, Glo'Mok understands that the training in Crystar is completely different from the training ground, filled with real challenges of survival and combat.
In the following training sessions, Glo'Mok continues to be knocked down repeatedly, but his fighting spirit becomes increasingly high. Every time he falls, he quickly gets up, ready to face the next challenge. Soulgear's attacks become more and more fierce, but Glo'Mok's reactions also become more and more agile. He starts to anticipate Soulgear's movements and tries to evade the attacks.
Some time had passed, and Glo'Mok's training was gradually paying off. During a practice session, when Soulgear launched a fierce attack once again, Glo'Mok agilely dodged the punch and then unexpectedly launched a counterattack.
Glo'Mok's blunt sword shimmered in the light as he swiftly thrust towards Soulgear, forcing his natural reflexes to draw his own sword for defense. Soulgear was startled by this sudden attack, but quickly responded, and their swords clashed in the air, creating a piercing metallic sound.
This scene surprised Soulgear a bit, causing him to stop his attack and nod in satisfaction. He said to Glo'Mok, "Well done, you've finally made some progress." Then he lowered his sword, signaling the end of the training.
Glo'Mok stood in place, panting heavily, but feeling a sense of satisfaction in his heart. He knew he still had a long way to go, but at least he had successfully provoked Soulgear to draw his sword, which was an important milestone in his training.
