Lin Mo and Su Yuqing continued their journey through the castle, each step filled with unknown dangers. After leaving the room with the black crystal ball, they entered a narrow passageway. The walls of the passage flickered with an eerie blue light, pulsating like a breath, sending chills down their spines.
As they walked, Su Yuqing suddenly noticed fine cracks appearing on the ground beneath them, faint red light seeping through accompanied by a sharp, acrid smell. Just as she was about to warn Lin Mo, a series of cracking sounds erupted, and the ground began to tremble violently. The cracks widened rapidly, forming enormous pits that seemed bottomless, from which strange noises emanated as if something terrifying lurked in the darkness.
Lin Mo quickly grabbed Su Yuqing and used his Time-Space Power to retreat a few steps, narrowly avoiding the initial collapse. However, the ground around them continued to crumble, leaving them with less and less space to maneuver. "We can't stay here! We need to find a way out!" Lin Mo shouted, his voice echoing in the trembling passage.
Looking at the expanding pits around them, Su Yuqing suddenly had an idea. "Lin Mo, can you use your Time-Space Power to create a bridge between these pits? Just like when we crossed that purple river!" Lin Mo nodded and concentrated on channeling his Time-Space Power. A brilliant light radiated from his forehead as he swiftly moved his hands, tracing blue lines between the pits. These lines gradually intertwined to form a shimmering time-space bridge.
However, before they could step onto the bridge, a swarm of gigantic spiders crawled out from the walls of the passage. Each spider was over a person's height, covered in black fur with blood-red eyes that glinted ominously. They oozed green slime from their mouths and emitted a nauseating stench. The spiders lunged at Lin Mo and Su Yuqing with incredible speed, cutting off their escape route.
Lin Mo wielded his Time-Space Longsword and engaged in fierce combat with the spiders. Each swing of his sword unleashed waves of blue light that severed their limbs. Yet, there were too many spiders; they came in relentless waves, and Lin Mo began to feel overwhelmed. Several wounds appeared on his body, staining his clothes with blood.
Su Yuqing was not idle either; she drew runes on the ground in an attempt to trap the spiders using their power. The runes glimmered with golden light, forming barriers that temporarily halted the spider's advance. But the spiders battered against the barriers relentlessly, causing them to tremble precariously.
At a critical moment in battle, Lin Mo noticed that the spiders seemed sensitive to a specific frequency of Time-Space Disturbance. He adjusted his power output so that his Time-Space Longsword emitted a unique vibration. This disturbance spread outwards, causing the spiders to slow down dramatically; some even curled up on the ground.
Seizing this opportunity, Lin Mo launched a more aggressive attack. He darted through the swarm of spiders like lightning, his sword flashing in swift arcs. With his efforts, their numbers began to dwindle until finally, he struck down the last spider, bringing temporary calm back to the passage.
Exhausted, Lin Mo and Su Yuqing leaned against the wall, panting heavily. But there was no time to rest; the entire passage continued to collapse around them. They cautiously stepped onto the time-space bridge and made their way toward the other end of the corridor.
Just as they neared the end of the passageway, a tremendous rumbling sound echoed through the air. They looked up to see a massive Mechanical Puppet emerging at the end of the corridor. Constructed from black metal and adorned with strange purple runes, it towered three stories high and had razor-sharp blades attached to its enormous arms that radiated an overwhelming sense of pressure.
"What... how is this thing so big?" Su Yuqing exclaimed.
Lin Mo took a deep breath and replied, "No matter how big it is, we can't back down. I'll distract it; you look for its weak point." With that said, Lin Mo charged toward the Mechanical Puppet.
Utilizing his Time-Space Power, Lin Mo moved swiftly to evade its attacks as it swung its massive arms downwards, creating deep craters in the ground with each strike. Timing his movements carefully, he slashed at one of its arms with his Time-Space Longsword. The sword struck its metallic limb with sparks flying but left only a shallow mark.
Meanwhile, Su Yuqing observed closely from a distance. She noticed that when the Mechanical Puppet attacked, its chest runes glowed intensely and appeared thinner than elsewhere. She quickly relayed her discovery to Lin Mo.
Nodding in understanding, Lin Mo gathered all his strength and charged towards its chest. As he approached the Mechanical Puppet's core area, he infused his sword with Time-Space Power and unleashed a powerful strike. A dazzling blue light flashed as he cut into its chest cavity, creating a massive breach that exposed internal components and energy circuits.
The Mechanical Puppet emitted a painful roar as it began to shake violently. It swung its arms wildly in desperation while Lin Mo and Su Yuqing dodged frantically amidst the chaos until they spotted a green-glowing crystal at its core.
"That crystal might be controlling it!" Su Yuqing shouted.
Without hesitation, Lin Mo sprinted towards it while avoiding attacks from the Mechanical Puppet. He reached for the crystal and thrust his Time-Space Longsword into it fiercely. The crystal shattered instantly under his strike into countless green shards.
With its destruction came an immediate halt to the Mechanical Puppet's assault; it collapsed slowly with a thunderous crash. Lin Mo and Su Yuqing had successfully defeated it and pressed onward until they finally emerged from the passageway.
At the end of the corridor lay an enormous hall where a massive stone pedestal stood at its center holding a key radiating golden light. The key was uniquely shaped and covered in mysterious symbols—it was indeed what they had been searching for: the Sealing Key.
Just as they prepared to approach and take it, countless black figures suddenly emerged around them in the hall's shadows. These figures coalesced into individuals clad in black robes—the members of a Mysterious Organization—surrounding Lin Mo and Su Yuqing with sinister smiles on their faces.
"You thought you could take that key so easily? How naive," sneered one of the robed figures at their forefront.
Lin Mo and Su Yuqing stood back to back, warily observing the enemies surrounding them. They knew that a more intense battle was about to unfold. Yet, they felt no fear, for in their hands rested the hope of saving time and space. Even if the path ahead led to despair, they were determined to fight for the protection of time and space.
