Kei Yunqing watched the two girls, who were both visibly excited, and chuckled as he tapped on the plate.
"Calm down, let's eat. This meal was prepared by a certain chef, and it tastes quite good, though I’m not sure if it suits your palate."
Sera and Lilu Lu snapped back to reality and looked at the dishes on the table, which they had never seen before. Sera tentatively picked up a golden, smiling bun and took a bite.
"Wow! The skin is so crispy! But there’s so much juice inside! The filling is delicious too!"
Lilu Lu found her sister's reaction amusing and teased her while also grabbing a Golden Open-Mouth Smile.
"Is it really that good? Sister, oh! It really is delicious!"
Lilu Lu squinted her eyes in delight as she savored the flavors of the Golden Open-Mouth Smile. Kei Yunqing smiled at their expressions. Their reactions were expected; after all, most people find it hard to resist delicious food.
Currently, Kei Yunqing's Cang Jie was filled with dishes made from Chinese Cooking Master recipes, so he could easily grab something to eat whenever he wanted. Therefore, he had developed some resistance to Little Chef's culinary creations.
While Sera and Lilu Lu quickly devoured their food, Kei Yunqing took his time. Before long, the plates on the dining table were empty. Sera and Lilu Lu patted their bellies and let out satisfied burps.
Kei Yunqing wiped his mouth and looked at Sera and Lilu Lu.
"Did you have enough? If not, I can get you some more."
"We're full, thank you, Master!" Sera and Lilu Lu replied in unison.
Kei Yunqing nodded as he observed the two girls who were too stuffed to move. He quietly began to clear the plates from the table.
Sera and Lilu Lu hurriedly stood up.
"Master, we can take care of this! You should rest!"
They snatched the dishes from Kei Yunqing's hands and headed toward the kitchen.
Kei Yunqing watched as they stumbled forward, shaking his head with a smile as he stepped up to support their waists.
"Don't move around too much after overeating; it's not good for your stomach. Since you want to wash, let's do it together."
"Okay, Master!"
The three of them entered the kitchen, where Kei Yunqing began teaching the two girls how to wash the dishes. After all, they didn’t know how to do it, and before long, they finished. However, the two girls seemed fascinated by the bubbles from the dish soap, so Kei Yunqing indulged them for a while.
Returning to the living room, Kei Yunqing sat in the middle of the sofa, with Sera and Lilu Lu leaning against him on either side.
Sera held Kei Yunqing's hand and curiously asked while watching the television, "Master, why do you have so many interesting things here?"
It seemed he needed to explain further. Kei Yunqing sat up straight, and the two girls looked up at his face.
"Actually, this isn’t the world you originally came from."
"Huh?"
Sera looked confused, her face full of questions. Lilu Lu pondered for a moment but didn’t grasp it either.
Kei Yunqing organized his thoughts. "To put it simply, you are similar to characters from a book. Someone drew your portraits, someone made statues of you, and I have a special ability that brings those statues to life."
Sera still seemed a bit puzzled while Lilu Lu nodded thoughtfully.
"So, Master, do you know which book we are from?" Lilu Lu asked. Sera was still contemplating Kei Yunqing's words but turned her gaze toward him upon hearing Lilu Lu.
"Right! Which book are we from? Can we see it?"
Kei Yunqing felt a bit awkward as he glanced at the two girls.
"Actually, you’re not characters from a book; you’re from a game."
