After finishing their meal, Kei Yunqing tidied up the dishes and turned to Mu Sen.
"It’s about time. Are you going to stay here?"
Mu Sen walked over to a large tree, gently caressing its trunk with a smile.
"I’ll stay here. Let the plants outside clear a path and allow some humans to come in. These plants can help protect them from the spirits."
Kei Yunqing nodded; this was Mu Sen's choice, and he wouldn’t interfere. Taking Sera and Lilu Lu by the hand, he found a crowded area and teleported away.
"We're off."
Their figures vanished, but their voices lingered for a moment.
Mu Sen watched as the three disappeared, remaining silent. He glanced at the towering plants around him and the expansive canopy that covered several kilometers. With a wave of his hand, a small path appeared between the giant plants. Another wave caused the massive flora surrounding the tree to shift outward.
Once the plants had moved, Mu Sen raised his hand, and roots from several trees began to emerge slowly, intertwining to form houses. The ground itself was covered with countless roots that created a solid surface.
He looked back at the green fruits hanging from the Tree of Life above him. Raising his hand again, he crafted several wooden signs for the paths.
"Life Village."
After completing his work, Mu Sen walked toward the large tree. The trunk gradually hollowed out, revealing an entrance, and he stepped inside.
Sitting down, he quietly observed the empty houses outside.
Meanwhile, Kei Yunqing and the others materialized in a bustling city.
This city had many modern features, and although Kei Yunqing's group still wore somewhat unusual clothing, passersby didn’t cast any strange glances; they simply assumed it was high-end designer wear since the fabric looked luxurious.
People admired their striking appearances before continuing on their way.
"Honey, this place is thriving!"
It should be a relatively economically developed city, so its prosperity is quite normal. Sera and Lilu Lu looked around in surprise, while Kei Yunqing also glanced curiously, as he was from the modern era and had not been born in this time, nor had he traveled abroad.
Although there were some tall buildings around, most of the structures were still wooden houses. The three of them wandered aimlessly down the street. Despite the many novel things to see, entertainment options were still limited; most people went to taverns or similar places for amusement, watching dance performances and singing.
In comparison to the human world, there were still many aspects that fell short. However, in a few decades, it might resemble that world more closely, especially since telephones had only just been introduced.
The three of them sat on a bench by the roadside, chatting idly. "This is so boring; we might as well go back and read the Bible," one of them remarked. This was a world of demons, and what should be interesting was fighting demons and learning the Breathing Technique.
"Shall we go learn the Breathing Technique then?" Sera suggested enthusiastically. Upon hearing this, both Sera and Lilu Lu perked up at the idea. Kei Yunqing nodded in response to their excitement.
Currently, the only Cultivators Kei Yunqing knew were Kagaya Ubuyashiki and Taki Sakonji. Both Sera and Lilu Lu were kind-hearted individuals, making them well-suited for Water Breathing.
"Then let's head to Narrow Mist Mountain! Kagaya Ubuyashiki and Taki Sakonji are Cultivators there!" Sera exclaimed. Lilu Lu nodded in agreement.
The three of them found a spot to buy a map to see where they currently were. "Let’s see... we should be in New Deer City. The place we were before was Baihua, and there's also Shi Lu Mountain nearby. Narrow Mist Mountain is quite far!"
The map was large, showing that Narrow Mist Mountain was about halfway across it from New Deer City. "That’s not a big deal; I can manage spatial teleportation," Kei Yunqing said confidently.
Sera and Lilu Lu were also a bit confused; they only knew a very useful teleportation technique. The three of them left New Deer City and entered the forest.
Kei Yunqing took Sera and Lilu Lu by the hand and began to teleport to the desired Spatial Coordinates. A large magic circle formed beneath their feet, glowing slowly from the inside out. When it was fully illuminated, the three of them vanished.
In the next moment, they appeared next to a small wooden cabin on Narrow Mist Mountain. Kei Yunqing noticed the cabin and glanced around; they seemed to be halfway up the mountain. Narrow Mist Mountain was often shrouded in fog, so there weren't many people around.
Could it be that the man lived here? What a coincidence!
He sniffed the air; it seemed empty, as if no one was home. Perhaps he had gone out on patrol? There was no one around, so they would have to wait a bit.
Kei Yunqing set up a table and three chairs in the clearing in front of the cabin. The three of them sat down, and Kei Yunqing took out a teapot to brew a pot of Shuiyun Tea. Shuiyun Tea was similar to Yun Jian Tea; both were colorless and tasteless.
