Ma Yi and Zhi Ye felt a bit ticklish from the touches.
"Ha ha, who are you? How did I end up here? Ha ha, stop touching me!"
Sera and Lilu Lu only stopped after they had their fill, excitedly looking at Kei Yunqing.
"Honey, they’re so soft! They really turned from statues into people!"
At that moment, the two girls, one tall and one small, exchanged glances, unsure of what to make of the words from the women who were playing with them.
Ma Yi and Zhi Ye looked at the man sitting on the sofa, watching them.
Kei Yunqing smiled at Ma Yi and Zhi Ye, waving them over.
The two girls hesitated for a moment but eventually approached Kei Yunqing.
"Don’t be nervous. Just take a look at this, and you’ll understand."
Kei Yunqing noticed their tension and chuckled softly.
Ma Yi and Zhi Ye didn’t say anything as they picked up Kei Yunqing’s phone. The recording was still running; after turning it off, they began to watch.
The video started with shots of the two statues, followed by a flash of green light as Shimmer transformed them into humans—into themselves. They were stunned at that moment.
Next came the footage of Sera and Lilu Lu touching them, and when they approached, they took the phone back. The last bit of audio was captured as they took the phone, with the camera focused on Kei Yunqing’s face.
Looking at the smiling faces in the video and then back at Kei Yunqing, Ma Yi asked, "This?"
Seeing the puzzled expressions on Ma Yi and Zhi Ye's faces, Kei Yunqing spoke up.
"Confused? It’s simple: you were statues, and I used a special method to turn those statues into living beings."
"Uh-huh."
Even after watching the video, they still found it hard to believe and slumped helplessly onto the sofa.
Sera and Lilu Lu each hugged one of them, starting to comfort them.
"Alright, alright, it’s nothing to worry about! You were crafted as statues based on your original forms. My husband used Mouse Charm to turn you into people; this is a good thing! We came this way too!"
"You were also statues?" Ma Yi looked at Sera who was hugging her.
Sera smiled and nodded, then shook her head.
"It's a bit different, you see. Lilu Lu and I have become Figures, while you are statues."
"Figures?"
Ma Yi and Zhi Ye understood what a Figure was; there was a distinction between that and a statue. However, when it came to the transformation into humans, the difference was negligible.
Soon, Ma Yi and Zhi Ye began to ask Sera and Lilu Lu many questions, which they answered one by one. But when they heard about the purpose of their transformation from statues to humans, both of them couldn't help but blush as they glanced at Kei Yunqing.
Kei Yunqing chuckled softly.
"There’s nothing to hide; turning statues into humans is simply for personal desires."
Ma Yi and Zhi Ye continued to gather information. Once they had learned enough, the two girls whispered among themselves. Even though they were trying to keep their voices down, Kei Yunqing could still hear them, though he chose not to listen in.
Finally, after their discussion wrapped up, Ma Yi and Zhi Ye stood shyly in front of Kei Yunqing.
"Um, I’m Sakurajima Mai."
"Sakurajima Mai."
"And I’m Shino Aki."
"Shino Aki."
"Please take care of us from now on."
