As Shinobu Kocho's gaze wavered, Kei Yunqing noticed her troubled thoughts and sighed. He gently cupped her face, urging her to look closely at him.
"Shinobu, this poison can only be removed by me. I can help you capture the demon that killed your sister and make it suffer so you can take your revenge, alright?"
With Kei Yunqing holding her face, Shinobu gazed into his sincere eyes and eventually nodded.
"Why?"
"Hmm?"
"Why are you being so kind to me?"
Shinobu touched the large hand cradling her face; it was so delicate, far more refined than her own hands that had trained for years with a sword.
Hearing this, Kei Yunqing smiled and looked earnestly into Shinobu's eyes. "Because you are beautiful, and your spirit is captivating. I like you."
At his words, Shinobu's cheeks flushed with rare embarrassment. Her gaze drifted uncertainly.
"I just need you to help me kill that demon and remove the poison from my body. I'm willing to be with you."
With her face held in his hands, she would have likely looked down at her toes, but now she could only glance away.
Kei Yunqing felt a surge of happiness at her words; this had to mean she was agreeing, right?
"I will kill it, don’t worry. But first, we need to remove the poison; otherwise, it will have a severe impact on your body!"
"Can we kill the demon first and then remove the poison?" Shinobu asked weakly as she looked at Kei Yunqing.
Kei Yunqing shook his head firmly. "No way! Who knows what foolish things you might do with the poison still inside you? What if my new bride ends up in danger? It's better to handle this early."
Shinobu frowned at Kei Yunqing's words. "How could I possibly do something foolish? It's just a little bit useful."
"What use?"
"Can we keep the toxins and feed them to the spirits?"
"Huh?"
Kei Yunqing thought for a moment. What he really meant was to collect the toxins for Shinobu Kocho when she used the Washing Essence Pill. The Washing Essence Pill could cleanse impurities from the body, including toxins, but retrieving them afterward was a bit tricky.
However, it wasn't impossible. As long as Kei Yunqing collected the toxins expelled by Shinobu Kocho while she used the Washing Essence Pill, it would work.
"Sure," Kei Yunqing agreed to Shinobu Kocho's request.

Kei Yunqing took Shinobu Kocho by the hand and led her to his house.
In the living room, under the curious gazes of Ma Yi and Zhi Ye, he brought Shinobu Kocho upstairs and into the large bathroom.
Shinobu Kocho looked around, her face slightly flushed. "This is a bathroom, right? Why are we here?"

"Can I do it myself?"
"No, you'll faint. You need someone to help you."
"Can one of the sisters downstairs help?"

"Alright then."
