Sera smiled at Lilu Lu.
"Here we go," she said.
Upon hearing that Lilu Lu was ready, Sera no longer hesitated.
"Water Breathing, Water Breathing First Form: Surface Slash Multiple Waves!"
Sera unleashed a series of massive waves, each one taller than the last. The range covered the entire arena, and if it reached the edges, it would even splash into the audience seats.
Li Yunqing was naturally aware of this. With a casual wave of his hand, he conjured a protective barrier that enveloped the entire venue.
The Old Celestial Master curiously touched the pale golden barrier in front of him. It didn’t feel like qi at all.
Old Lu also reached out to touch it and then punched it lightly; there was no reaction whatsoever. Indeed, it didn’t feel like qi, and the hardness was quite impressive.
The two exchanged glances and turned to look at Li Yunqing, who was seated nearby.
"Why are you looking at me? Watch the match; the waves are about to crash!"
The Old Celestial Master and Old Lu didn’t respond to his comment; they continued to observe the arena intently.
Sera swung her weapon nearly twenty times, and by the last swing, the final wave had risen to nearly the height of the entire audience section.
Sera paused her movements and quietly watched the towering wave, waiting for Lilu Lu to make her move.
Lilu Lu had already sheathed her weapon and took a deep breath.
"Water Breathing, Water Breathing First Form: Surface Slash Horizontal Cut!"
With a single slash, Lilu Lu cut through more than ten waves in front of her, transforming them into flowing water that filled the entire arena.
The remaining giant waves continued to surge towards Lilu Lu.
"Water Breathing, Fourth Form, Striking Tide!" A massive strike descended, cleaving through the waves.
The colossal wave was ultimately sliced apart, transforming into a cascade of water. As nearly twenty giant waves were reduced to flowing water, the entire arena was submerged by almost a meter.
Sera and Lilu Lu stood firm on the surface of the water. The audience was left in stunned silence.
"I thought this water was an illusion; how is there actually water here?" one spectator wondered aloud. "Creating so much water with magic must require a tremendous amount of energy, right? And those giant waves were coming right at us! Even from the audience seats, I felt like a small boat caught in a raging storm."
Old Celestial Master observed the water in the arena, silently contemplating. Meanwhile, Old Lu was filled with excitement.
"What is this? How can they produce so much water? This is incredible!" Old Lu exclaimed loudly, drawing attention from other spectators who realized that this was indeed real; these performers were truly impressive.
As for Sera and Lilu Lu in the arena, the audience noted that Sera had used over ten techniques while Lilu Lu had only employed two to defend herself. Lilu Lu understood that her sister had only used one technique; it was she who had needed two to block it.
Sera embodied an unending flow, while Lilu Lu represented a singular stream. When Lilu Lu couldn't resolve her confrontation with Sera in an instant, she knew she had already lost.
However, Lilu Lu was determined not to give up. It wasn't about defeating Sera; it was about showcasing her abilities to Li Yunqing.
Sera watched Lilu Lu's determination with interest.
"Shall we continue?"
"Yes," Sera nodded.
With a swift motion, she unleashed the Fourth Form of Water Breathing: Tide Rising and Falling!
A massive wave surged from behind Sera, crashing towards Lilu Lu.
Lilu Lu raised her arms above her head, bracing for the oncoming tide.
In response, she executed Hachi no Kata: Takiwa Rietsu, striking down with the power of Tree Roots Entangle. The black water split apart in the middle, turning dark as it was cleaved.
The surrounding water began to flow towards the blackened area, diminishing rapidly.
"Not bad at all, Wu Yuan," she remarked.
Sera then called upon the Fifth Form of Water Breathing: Dry Heaven Compassionate Rain Sea Words!
A colossal phantom appeared behind her, resembling Sera herself dressed in a magnificent azure gown.
In that moment, Sera radiated a divine aura as she charged towards Lilu Lu with her blade raised.
However, Lilu Lu was not swayed by the holy power.
She countered with Qi Zhi Xing: Water Surface Ripple Piercing Abyss! Unlike the sea god-like phantom behind Sera, Lilu Lu's surroundings transformed into an abyss beneath her feet.
