"Come on, Mr. Poison Dragon! I'm ready!" Mei Pulu shouted loudly, raising his shield in front of him.
As if it understood, the three heads of the Poison Dragon simultaneously spewed out dark purple venom towards Mei Pulu. He attempted to block it with his shield, but after the wave of venom passed, everything on him was corroded away except for his indestructible clothes and pants. His dagger and shield were both destroyed by the poison.
Mei Pulu also found himself in a poisoned state.
"Do you need me to cure you?" Ke Tian Ci casually pulled out a staff.
Mei Pulu glanced back at Ke Tian Ci and was about to say yes when he suddenly realized that as long as he was attacked by poison, he could gain resistance. "No need to cure me; I want to try and gain Poison Resistance. Can you help me heal instead?"
"Sure," Ke Tian Ci replied.
Mei Pulu's health was low, only a few drops left. However, due to the effect of Poison Resistance Medium, it mitigated some damage, but he was still losing three drops of health per second. In just a few seconds, he would be out of health. Mei Pulu was ready to use the potion given by Iz when Ke Tian Ci suddenly spoke up, "Then leave it to your friend!"
With a wave of his staff, a holy light enveloped Mei Pulu's body, instantly restoring his health to full. As the toxin continued to corrode him, his health would drop but then immediately return to full.
Seeing that Mei Pulu remained standing in place, the Poison Dragon continued to spit venom. Mei Pulu was once again drenched in poison, but his health fluctuated back and forth.
The Poison Resistance Medium upgraded to Poison Resistance!
A notification popped up on Mei Pulu's panel, and upon checking, he discovered a new status:
Status: Quick Healing.
Effect: Restores health every second; duration: one hour.
"Huh?"
Mei Pulu turned around, a bit shocked by the situation, and looked at Ke Tian Ci. Ke Tian Ci smiled and nodded at her.
A regular continuous healing skill should be enough, right? Mei Pulu certainly thought so; she only had a little over ten drops of health left, and with a hundred thousand drops of recovery lasting for a day, it would definitely suffice.
For some reason, as she gazed at the Poison Dragon, there was a hint of sympathy in her eyes. The Poison Dragon was still unaware of anything as it spewed out venom. How could this person survive in its venom for so long? The Poison Dragon didn’t think too much about it; it just kept spraying venom until it was nearly out.
Poison Resistance had upgraded to Poison Ineffective! Mei Pulu finally awaited the upgrade of her Poison Resistance. Poison Ineffective—let’s see, that means immunity to poison damage!
Mei Pulu smiled happily but then looked at the Poison Dragon with a troubled expression. How was she going to defeat the Poison Dragon? Did she need help with all her equipment?
As she pondered this, Ke Tian Ci approached her side. The Poison Dragon had run out of venom and was in a state of confusion; it couldn’t understand why someone could survive in its venom for so long.
Mei Pulu shook her head at Ke Tian Ci’s words. “No, no, your stuff is too powerful. I want to defeat it on my own!”
“Oh, is that so? Alright then.” Mei Pulu declined Ke Tian Ci’s help. If just a casual state was so overpowered, then whatever he offered would surely be even more ridiculous—he could probably kill the Poison Dragon with just a flick of his wrist!
Mei Pulu wasn’t wrong in her thoughts; Ke Tian Ci had actually wanted to give her a full set of Great Shield for the day. Naturally, the attributes would be enhanced.
As Mei Pulu contemplated how to defeat the Poison Dragon, the creature finally reacted and stretched its neck to ensnare Mei Pulu with Tree Roots Entangle.
"You won't die from poison, but I'll take you down with my physical attacks!"
The Poison Dragon opened its massive jaws and roared at Mei Pulu.
Mei Pulu stared at the dragon's sharp teeth and revealed her own small fangs.
"Meow!"
What's the big deal about teeth? Everyone has them!
With that, Mei Pulu bit into the Poison Dragon, tearing off a chunk of flesh.
Hmm, it tastes a bit like green peppers. Not my favorite.
As she savored the flavor of the Poison Dragon's meat, she couldn't help but complain.
Ke Tian Ci stood on the ground, watching Mei Pulu's antics, almost saying something but then holding back.
Having a friend like this is really great.
