"Alright, alright, it's been a while. I'm here to call you all for breakfast; it's almost cold now."
Li Yunqing stood up, balancing three bowls in his hands while using Magic Hand to retrieve two more from behind him. He carried the Little Ones into the living room.
I wondered why breakfast was so lavish today; it turned out our head of the family had returned.
Bai Ling smiled as she saw Li Yunqing coming in with a child in his arms. The soundproofing of the room was good, and since Bai Ling and Li Guoqing were young, they had been preoccupied with their own activities the night before and hadn't noticed Li Yunqing's return.
"Li Yunqing is back," Li Guoqing said with a smile.
Li Yunqing responded with a smile as well. "Yes, I'm back."
He placed the Little Ones at one side of the long table, where they joined the adults for breakfast. However, their food was specially prepared and more nutritious.
This morning, each of the Little Ones had a bowl of porridge with an egg inside, which they scooped out themselves. Normally, they would come out on their own in the morning, climb onto their chairs, and eat. But today, since Li Yunqing was back, he carried them instead.
The children had similar appetites, but there was one exception: Li Qinghu had three bowls of porridge in front of her. Unlike the other children who cultivated energy, she focused on physical training and often enjoyed lifting things, which meant she consumed more.
Once Li Yunqing settled the Little Ones, he took his seat at the head of the table with a bowl of porridge for himself. No matter what, Ma Yi would always prepare meals for Li Yunqing, even if he didn’t eat often.
Li Yunqing's desire for food had diminished quite a bit; aside from things that smelled particularly good and tasted delicious, he generally ate very little. At home, he occasionally nibbled on something.
As he sat at the head of the table watching his family eat, breakfast couldn't consist solely of porridge; there were also noodles, buns, and steamed bread.
For the children, a bowl of porridge was usually enough to fill them up. However, there was one exception: Li Qinghu. She showed no fear of heat as she quickly drank one bowl of porridge before moving on to the next. Standing on her chair, she grabbed two large meat buns to eat.
Even with a large appetite, one eventually becomes accustomed to it; the family members paid no mind to the big eater. However, Li Yunqing looked at Li Qinghu with increasing satisfaction. Being able to eat is a blessing!
As breakfast time was coming to an end, Shinobu Kocho and Kanao Tsuyuri began to clear the dishes, while several girls went to attend to the children. Every morning was designated as education time for them, where they would teach the kids some knowledge and principles.
Li Yunqing observed for a while; several children listened attentively, though it was unclear how much they truly understood. Before long, he stepped outside.
On the way, he greeted familiar faces with a nod. The reason people recognized Li Yunqing was naturally through his family. In all of Liyue, few were unaware of the prominent household that had six wives and owned a large house. Moreover, the head of this household strolled around every day, leaving many to wonder where his wealth came from.
Indeed, Li Yunqing wandered about daily; even if people didn’t know which family he belonged to, they recognized someone who appeared so frequently in their midst. He had no particular destination in mind and simply walked around aimlessly.
The streets were calm in the early morning, with few hurried individuals. However, a figure dressed in purple hurried past. Upon seeing her, others instinctively made way. It seemed there was something urgent for Lady Yuheng Star.
“Don’t block Lady Yuheng Star’s path!”
Hearing this, those nearby turned to see Keqing rushing toward them and quickly stepped aside. Li Yunqing was no exception. However, his unique aura caught Keqing’s attention; she recognized him and nodded before hastily continuing on her way.
Li Yunqing glanced at Keqing and then around at the passersby, noting that none displayed any signs of disdain.
It seems that Keqing has gained quite a bit of popularity among the people of Liyue. They believe that the Emperor has his reasons for acting this way, and Keqing's urgency must be related to some important matters concerning Liyue that cannot be hindered. Keqing is one of the key figures often associated with the Emperor, the other being Ning Guang.
