After chatting for a while with others, Ye Feihong simply lay down on the floor and fell asleep. The conditions for survival were extremely harsh, and he was not a wealthy young master who could afford to be picky. As long as he could rest safely, that was enough.
The next day, just as dawn broke, Ye Feihong got up. He drank a little water and ate a piece of compressed biscuit. This type of biscuit was very small, only the size of a ping pong ball, yet it could provide enough energy for a person for an entire day. It was certainly not an ordinary food.
It was also a product of the Farm Owner. However, most plants were meant for combat; only a few had been cultivated for the benefit of the Farm Owner. As a result, their yield was not high. Such high-calorie plants were only processed into biscuits during special missions.
After having breakfast, Ye Feihong began his daily activities. Whether it was sunlight or seeds, he needed to wait for time to pass. However, he couldn't afford to do nothing. He had to assess his surroundings. This was no simple matter.
According to what he learned in school, it was best to explore within the attack range of his plants on the first day.
Then, slowly expanding outward, the Farm Owner broadened their territory. Early exploration was the fastest way to develop as a Farm Owner, but it was also extremely dangerous.
These threats did not come from dark creatures but from Dark Plants. The Farm Owner could acquire Dark Plant Seeds and plant them within their territory to cultivate their own flora. However, they could also be killed by these Dark Plants. If the land became contaminated by dark creatures, it would produce a large number of Dark Plants. Some of these were mutated plants infected by viruses from dark creatures.
The native plants on Blue Star were relatively safer. The most dangerous were those plants that originated from the Dark Realm. Their seeds clung to dark creatures and made their way to Blue Star. These plants were even more terrifying. For instance, the Destruction of Sakura Kingdom was said to be caused by a colossal World Tree, towering thousands of meters high and capable of withstanding nuclear attacks. This led to the collapse of Sakura Kingdom's defenses, resulting in the destruction of countless Farm Owners beneath this World Tree.
Ye Feihong did not venture directly into exploration. Instead, they climbed to the top of the ruins where they resided. From their seat, they took out a very compact telescope, only ten centimeters long and monocular in design, all for the sake of saving space. It was equipped with a high-performance lens that was not lacking in quality, capable of optical zooming. They could clearly see an ant several hundred meters away.
Going on an outdoor adventure has two main objectives. One is to find out if there are any wild seeds that can be planted in the Farm Owner's land. The other, and more crucial one, is to explore the surrounding terrain. This will facilitate future expansion of the Farm Owner's property and help determine defensive strategies.
Finding wild seeds would be a stroke of luck, but being familiar with the terrain is of utmost importance. An adventure is no small matter. Although a large number of bombs have already eliminated many dark creatures in the vicinity, there are still occasional sightings of one or two.
The greatest advantage for the Farm Owner is that their body scent will be masked by the aroma of the plants. Unlike ordinary humans, whose rich life force can alert dark creatures from hundreds of meters away, the Farm Owner remains concealed. Dark creatures may inhabit a very shadowy world, which means their vision is generally poor, but their sense of smell is exceptionally keen. Much like hyenas, they can track ordinary humans by scent.
Ye Feihong held a monocular in hand.
