After about ten minutes, Ye Feihong received a call from a high-ranking official of the Imperial Forest Army.
"This is the San Star General. What matters do you have for me to report, Ye Feihong?"
Although Ye Feihong held the title of Five-Star General, which is the highest rank, it typically indicates one of two situations: either the individual is nearing retirement and is granted the title to enjoy their later years, or they have exited military management to join the Military Affairs Office as a Five-Star General. In this case, the San Star General was indeed the highest commander of the Imperial Forest Army.
Ye Feihong pointed the camera of the Communication Device at the nearby Night Elf Tree and said to the San Star General, "This Tree of Life is called the Night Elf Tree; it is not a Dark Plant."
Upon hearing this, the weary eyes of the San Star General sparkled with interest as he focused intently on the image of the Night Elf Tree. Having encountered many types of Dark Plants before, he could indeed see the differences between them.
Even dark creatures that had been tamed by human Farmers still exuded an aura of death. These plants, much like dark creatures, did not resemble living beings; instead, they appeared more like Dark Zombies.
They were all filled with the aura of death, brutality, and slaughter. Yet this Dark Night Life Tree gave the San Star General a sense of nature, life, and vitality. This feeling was in stark contrast, palpable even through the screen. It was a plant from an entirely different world.
Ye Feihong continued, aware of the San Star General's busy schedule. Of course, time could not be wasted. From the Dark Night Life Tree, he had received a fragment of memory—a glimpse into another world, a tribe of Night Elves resisting dark creatures.
Ye Feihong elaborated on the scenes he had witnessed. Finally, he posed his question: Could that divine tree in Sakura Kingdom be a sign that more powerful dark creatures were about to descend?
The San Star General replied, "I understand your concern. However, the divine tree in Sakura Kingdom is not what you think. We still have ample time to prepare. Your information is invaluable; I will report it directly to the Grand Elder." With that, the San Star General ended the communication.
Ye Feihong then realized why such a terrifying divine tree had appeared in Sakura Kingdom. It was quite simple—they had brought this upon themselves. Before the apocalypse, as a defeated nation, Sakura Kingdom was not allowed to develop nuclear capabilities. Thus, they often resorted to exploiting earthquakes or tsunamis in an attempt to develop this most powerful weapon designed by humanity.
This plan was known only to a select few within Sakura Kingdom. Unfortunately, when the apocalypse struck, many of those involved had already perished.
This also led to the fact that the people of Sakura Kingdom were unaware of the nuclear weapons they had produced themselves. The Divine Tree was not inherently powerful; its true form was merely a War Tree. It just happened to have absorbed the hidden nuclear weapons of Sakura Kingdom, which allowed it to grow immense and become invincible.
During this time, under the leadership of the War Tree, it broke through three defensive lines of Sakura Kingdom, resulting in the destruction of more than half of the capital. This is also why nations dared not use humanity's most powerful nuclear forces to eliminate dark creatures.
Nuclear weapons typically do not have an explosive range exceeding two. Although they can kill a large number of dark creatures, the radiation range can extend up to ten. Any dark creature within this range would become enhanced.
