Ye Feihong sat in the center, his legs draped over the central armrest of the front row. With his arms spread wide, he rested them against the back of the car seat. The Moon Priestess lay her head on his hands, while the Watcher, petite in stature, nestled happily in Ye Feihong's embrace.
The group traveled in a convoy made up of Plant Automobile Men, heading towards their first target. The powerful beings among these dark creatures exuded a terrifying aura of evil. Ye Feihong had no worries about getting lost; as long as he followed these ominous energies, he would be able to locate the formidable Dark Demons.
Along the way, they encountered numerous dark creatures attempting to block their path. However, these minor demons could easily be dealt with by the Dwarf King and the Dwarf Sniper, who sat inside Optimus Prime at the front of the convoy. Ye Feihong simply needed to hold his beauty and enjoy the scenery along the way.
In this world on the brink of collapse, one could hardly say that the scenery was anything less than stunning. For instance, the distant eruptions of lava created a beautiful pattern against the landscape. Yet, it was clear that Ye Feihong's mind was far too distracted to truly appreciate the view.
He realized that during this period, the Watcher seemed to have undergone a second growth spurt. The two peaks had grown significantly larger.
After a few hours, they arrived at a battlefield. This place had once been a magnificent city of humanity. The towering walls, hundreds of meters high, were far more imposing than the Great Wall of the Blue Star Dragon Kingdom. However, the length of these walls was not extensive; they spanned only a few kilometers, firmly blocking off a section of the canyon.
On one side of the battle were a group of Dark Human Heroes. Their enemies were a mass of ice at the front of the canyon. Within this ice lay numerous Ice Attribute Demons, launching an assault on the Fortress. To their surprise, these demons also possessed siege weaponry—massive catapults.
Instead of stones, they hurled demons through the air. Each time a catapult was fired, hundreds of demons would land directly on the walls and engage in combat with the humans above. In the sky, there were also bat-like demons soaring through the air, battling against the humans stationed on the walls.
It resembled an ancient war of Blue Star Humanity, yet the methods of combat were entirely different. The walls served their purpose in defense.
It was the Magic Runes etched into the city walls. These runes were the key to resisting the magical attacks of demons. The focus was not on the stones themselves; they could not withstand magical assaults at all. Although both sides wielded knives, guns, and clubs, their attacks were primarily magical.
The brutality of the battle far exceeded anything from ancient Blue Star. The Amazon Warrior swiftly launched her Spear, which was different from those of Blue Star. Once a Spear was thrown in Blue Star, it was gone. However, she had a new Spear ready in her hand after throwing the first one, like a weapon that never ran out of ammunition.
A horde of demons fell before they even touched the ground, pierced by the Spears. The small demons that climbed onto the walls unleashed a barrage of ice spikes, targeting the humans stationed there.
The Holy Knights stood at the front lines, clad in heavy armor like Ye Feihong, wielding massive Metal Shields and enormous longswords. In Blue Star, such swords were meant to be wielded with both hands, but here, their powerful physiques allowed them to swing them effortlessly with one hand.
The Holy Good Law surrounded them with various powerful auras, directly blocking the incoming ice spike attacks. Behind them, a barbarian continuously hurled his dual axes into the fray.
A demon was slain. The humans of this realm are truly formidable in their combat abilities. No wonder those powerful Dark Demons have not completely dominated this world.
