The situation of the war quickly tilted in favor of Ye Feihong. After soaking in the Spring of Life, Ye Feihong had rapidly regained strength and was now standing atop the city walls, observing the Demon Army as they launched their assault on this formidable fortress.
Just a few minutes ago, this stronghold had been a significant obstacle for Ye Feihong. Now, it had transformed into his most solid line of defense. The demons were left with only a pitiful array of siege weapons: large shields, arrow towers, catapults, and ladders. These ancient and feeble instruments stood no chance of even approaching Ye Feihong's city.
The King of Hatred and the King of Fear, two powerful demons, were forced to converge their forces. They made a decisive choice to personally lead the siege. The situation before them was painfully clear: despite pooling all their strength, they could not defeat Ye Feihong. If that was the case, they would perish here.
Ultimately resolved to take a desperate gamble, what terrified them the most was witnessing the two demon kings who had been defeated by Ye Feihong—their essences were truly fading away. Demon Kings were supposed to be immortal; even if defeated, they could enter the Chaos World as long as their soul stones remained intact. Yet for these two, that was no longer an option.
The presence of the Evil King and the King of Lies was palpable. They were truly facing death, which instilled fear in both Demon Kings. The two began their siege.
The King of Hatred and the King of Fear started to gather their magical power. The King of Hatred wielded the Frozen Power. Above the city walls, a multitude of ice spikes appeared, rapidly descending toward the fortress. Although they were resisted by the Magic Shield, the frozen power did not dissipate; instead, it transformed into Cold Ice Power, continuing to envelop the walls. The temperature across the entire fortification plummeted swiftly.
Meanwhile, the King of Fear controlled Flame Power. Below the city, a Fire Wall emerged, engulfing the entire fortress in flames. They aimed to shatter the city with the fusion of ice and fire. Even if they could not succeed completely, they would quickly deplete Ye Feihong's Energy Stone.
The Dwarf Sniper activated his Assassination Skill and launched an attack against the King of Hatred. Compared to flames, dwarves loathed ice even more. The Moon Priestess also unleashed her Moon God Arrow, targeting the nearby King of Fear.
After the recent battle, Ye Feihong's Hero Units had already reached Ninety Level. With the addition of Energy Stones, they now possessed the capability to inflict damage on the Demon King. However, after their magical attacks were met with resistance, they could not maintain their assault. The powers of ice and flame quickly dissipated, and their first wave of attack on the city walls ended in failure.
Currently, their situation was dire. Both armies were engaged in a war of attrition. After more than ten minutes, Ye Feihong's side had suffered no losses at all; even the most ordinary Metal Plants had failed to take down any of his troops. On the other hand, their own forces had dwindled from tens of thousands to less than twenty thousand. If things continued like this for another hour, his subordinates would perish here.
Attempting to gather magical energy for long-range attacks was a daunting task; even the Demon King had to exert all his strength for such spells. Meanwhile, the enemy's forces also possessed long-range attack capabilities. Casting powerful spells meant sacrificing defense, and although the Dwarf Sniper and Moon Priestess were not as formidable as his own units, they still posed a significant threat.
