The bandits had all been dealt with, but Old Zhang could not handle this alone and had to gather the villagers. 0

Soon, Old Zhang conveyed the news of the bandits' defeat to the villagers and called for their assistance. When they saw Third Leader Gou Sheng Er, their eyes burned with fierce anger, wishing they could tear the bandit to pieces. 0

Upon witnessing the villagers' furious expressions, Third Leader Gou Sheng Er felt fear creeping in and shrank back, trembling in place. Although the villagers were mostly women, children, and the elderly, they quickly joined Old Zhang to manage the situation. 0

After everything was settled, the villagers felt a sense of unease because the bandits' stronghold still existed, and many more bandits remained inside the lair. Lin Feng noticed their worries and said, "There's no need to be anxious. Leave this to me; I will resolve it." 0

Upon hearing Lin Feng's words, the villagers' concerns eased slightly because they knew he was no ordinary person. After all, who else could take down a dozen fierce bandits single-handedly? 0

In the afternoon, Lin Feng followed the direction described by Third Leader and walked several miles until he reached the foot of a mountain. There was only one path leading up, flanked by steep slopes, making it a defensible position. Lin Feng thought that if Da Tian rushed in carelessly, they would easily be discovered. 0

So he cautiously made his way up the mountain and soon spotted a bandit stronghold. The stronghold appeared quite substantial, surrounded by a fence, with several sentry bandits at the entrance. Lin Feng quietly observed; the entire complex was built against the mountainside, surrounded by steep cliffs and dense forests—indeed a place easy to defend but hard to attack. 0

As Lin Feng reached the top of the mountain and observed from a distance, inside the stronghold, Big Boss Jin Heizi sat in the center on a tiger-skin stone chair, flanked by two others—a second-in-command and a lackey. 0

"Big Brother," said the second-in-command with some concern, "Lao San went out to collect rent and hasn't returned yet. Do you think something happened?" 0

Hearing this, Jin Heizi also felt puzzled; logically speaking, Lao San should have returned by now. He turned to the lackey and ordered, "Go down and find out what's going on." 0

"Yes, Big Boss," replied the lackey as he immediately headed out. 0

The little henchman made his way down the mountain path. 0

Before long, he returned, panting and exclaiming, "Boss, it's bad!" 0

"What happened?" Jin Heizi felt a sense of foreboding and asked. 0

"The Third Leader is dead, and over a dozen brothers have fallen!" 0

"What exactly happened?" 0

The little henchman had gathered information on his way down. Upon hearing the news, even the ruthless Jin Heizi felt a chill run down his spine. 0

He thought to himself that this was serious. "Quickly, from now on, everyone needs to be on high alert. Send people to guard every corner of the Shanzhai." 0

All the henchmen hurried off to prepare, as if facing a great enemy. 0

Night soon fell. The sky darkened gradually, and Lin Feng hid not far from the Shanzhai, surrounded by darkness and silence. Occasionally, small animals made sounds, visible only by the flickering torchlight. 0

The two sentries ahead were very alert, with two more teams patrolling. Today, everyone was unusually focused, shedding their usual laxity. 0

Taking advantage of the darkness, Lin Feng quietly approached the two sentries. He picked up two small stones and threw them at the bandits on guard. 0

Whoosh! Whoosh! 0

The stones flew so fast that the little henchmen barely saw them coming. 0

After taking out the two men, one of them leaped up into the sentry post. With keen eyesight, he surveyed the entire area of the stronghold below him. 0

On his right side, he could see bandits in the courtyard below, so he decided to eliminate those outside first before dealing with those inside. 0

In the hall, Jin Heizi and the Second-in-command sat in their chairs, and everyone else in the room was unusually tense. At that moment, a lackey rushed in, flustered, and exclaimed, "Boss! It's bad news!" 0
