Ultimately, they were overthrown by Da Qian Taizu, presumably for the sake of the common people; this is what constitutes a just war.
However, if it were during the prosperous period of the Da Li dynasty when the people lived in peace and contentment, anyone who rebelled would simply be considered a traitor acting out of self-interest—a war that is unjust.
Chen Tao, a child who grew up in the Jianghu Sect, was well-versed in martial arts and the intricacies of the human body's meridians. He continued, referring back to Chen Tao's earlier example. "In the conflict between Da Li and Da Qian, differing perspectives naturally lead to a shift in the definition of war. From Da Qian's viewpoint, rising up against tyranny is for the sake of the common people—it's just. But from Da Li's perspective? The rebels are undoubtedly guilty of treason and thus unjust."
