"My God, are the aliens really just humans from an Alien Planet? Do they actually look like us?"
"Wait, the aliens are showing up in Episode Four? Last episode was mostly about William fighting thugs, and now we suddenly switch to a UFO."
"Wow, this alien looks a bit familiar. I feel like I've seen them somewhere before."
"Isn't that the Second Prince from last season, the one who kicked off the Age of Exploration? Back then, he had long hair and wore ancient clothes, and now he suddenly has short hair and modern attire. I almost didn't recognize him."
The audience's enthusiasm for sending Danmaku surged with the appearance of the alien. A torrent of Danmaku flowed past Xu Lie, who was currently lying inside the UFO. He didn't need to pay attention to anyone or adjust the density of Danmaku.
Thanks to the UFO's built-in optical equipment, Xu Lie's projection, interwoven with Light and Shadow, appeared expressionless in the high sky. The entire scene felt incredibly indifferent, as if there were a natural barrier between it and this world.
This left countless citizens in the metropolis feeling uneasy, a chill creeping into their hearts. Some foolishly knelt on the ground, bowing their heads in a fervent display of submission or perhaps begging for mercy; others frantically smashed everything around them as if the apocalypse had arrived, indulging recklessly in their final moments; while a very few, like William, persevered through their inner darkness and despair, defiantly gazing up at the UFO and its Light and Shadow.
Anthony was in the director's office, with a floor-to-ceiling window behind him offering a view of this breathtaking spectacle. His hands moved swiftly as he followed Xu Lie's instructions to urgently contact the Alien Intelligence Agency and convene an emergency second meeting. He opened his laptop camera to capture what was happening and brought it into the meeting.
On the other side, Charles was similarly coordinating efforts to advance Xu Lie's plan. The members of the Great Federation and Arms Tycoons wore solemn expressions as they stared intently at the UFO on the screen. Their eyes flickered with longing for Alien Technology, an intangible fear, and a hint of greedy desire.
After Xu Lie appeared without uttering a word, all his dialogue had already been input into the UFO beforehand. A massive mechanical voice resonated throughout the metropolis: "Inside us, there are no names. You may call me by my number; you may also call me Lie; that is the name from which this projection originates."
A brief statement fell upon the city, plunging it into silence.
The people kneeling on the ground, murmuring frantically, completely surrendered, as if they were reverently listening to divine will. Those who had been rampaging and destroying paused their actions, seemingly fearful that any further noise would lead to their capture, becoming mere shadows of themselves.
In just three sentences, Light and Shadow dissipated and reformed, projecting a video into the air. The immense mechanical voice continued its slow narration: "When we first discovered you, we deemed you suitable for study. In your language, the term 'humanity' serves as the best subject for our research. Thus, we decided to infiltrate you secretly to study human nature."
The Light and Shadow video began to play, revealing an endless expanse of pitch-black space filled with countless massive Interstellar Battleships. In the depths of space, they discovered a water-blue Fate Planet. The Alien Fleet dispatched an even denser formation of UFOs, descending with optical invisibility.
The most terrifying scene unfolded in the sky as non-humanoid three-legged Purple Entities emerged from the UFOs, transforming into humans and stealthily infiltrating human society.
Chilling!
In that instant, William wrapped his arms around himself, soothing the goosebumps rising on his skin while quietly distancing himself from the Rims. The Rims mirrored his actions, subtly creating space between themselves and William.
