Xu Lie certainly did not appear arrogant. The so-called Meditation Method, which claims to turn ordinary people into magicians, was merely borrowed knowledge, lacking any personal insight.
During their journey in the Shendai world, Tuha had taken Xu Lie to visit the Mortal Realm's magic school. At the Shendai Magic School, everyone was required to learn the Meditation Method in order to step into the mysterious realm of magic.
Finding a company to translate and adapt this method would allow it to be applied in the Burning Fire world as well. The idea of turning ordinary people into magicians?! Reiner was too close for comfort, almost pressing his face against Xu Lie's.
Fortunately, Anthony acted just in time, and two roots that had been buried deep underground sprang to life. The living roots emerged from the ground, wrapping around Reiner's arms and pulling him away.

Anthony then allowed the roots to retreat, no longer restraining Reiner, since he would soon become their temporary colleague. Reiner was left in shock.
In the Burning Fire world, the Magic Text was still in its infancy. All magicians agreed that in order to learn magic, there was one fundamental prerequisite: one must possess magical power. Without magic within you, even if all magical knowledge were laid out before you, what could you do? It would be like seeing the moon reflected in water—visible yet unattainable.
Yet Xu Lie had created a Meditation Method that could grant magical power even to those without it, allowing ordinary people to become magicians. This completely overturned Reiner's simplistic worldview and refreshed his entire being from the inside out.
Xu Lie no longer engaged in the playful antics typical of the previous three Script Worlds; instead, he adopted a serious demeanor as if championing justice for all. He continued weaving an elaborate tale: "It's complicated. I awakened my magical power when I was young and began exploring magic. My closest childhood friends were completely disconnected from magic, leading us to live in entirely different worlds.
I could truly feel their envy and jealousy, even a hint of despair. After all, living as a magician is vastly different from living as an ordinary person. While I possessed magic, I lost all my friends. From that moment on, I became resolute in my thoughts."
I must find a way for everyone to become a magician. Fortunately, in the end, I truly found it.
Reiner listened absentmindedly as Xu Lie spoke casually, lost in memories. As people age, they tend to reminisce about the past. Having lived for so long, they have already lost far too much. Those bonds that have been severed and cannot be regained are often what they cling to the most.
Reiner recalled his strict father who educated him and his gentle mother who often made him hot pancakes at night. Because of magic, he had a much longer lifespan than ordinary people; his parents had long since passed away, leaving him all alone in the world. Not to mention friends—he could barely remember their faces anymore, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't bring them back to mind.
If only Xu Lie's Meditation Method were truly effective, how wonderful it would be if his parents could practice magic alongside him! Wouldn’t his mother still gently warm a pancake for him if he returned home now?
At that moment, Reiner didn't consider whether the sudden emergence of the Meditation Method would bring any kind of upheaval to the world. For instance, if magicians were to multiply in number, would it deplete the resources available to other magicians?
