At this moment, a massive and towering beam of light suddenly shot up into the sky! It was not hard to imagine that this breathtaking sight was the result of the small orb that Xu Lie had just thrown, which had exploded magnificently.
Several seconds later, the beam of light slowly dissipated, and the world returned to its natural state. However, many of the wizards remained frozen in place, as if they had been petrified, continuing to stand rigidly.

Inside the crystal, a face occasionally flickered—this was originally the face of the Evil Mage. Whether through technological advancement or magical energy, knowledge held its value.
First, he would refine this Evil Mage's soul into a crystal; later on, he could slowly process it to eliminate unnecessary memories and impurities, leaving only the purest magical knowledge behind.
Many wizards who noticed Xu Lie's actions felt a sense of fear and took several steps back. The two spells Xu Lie had unleashed were terrifyingly destructive, and now he was toying with a soul—what difference did that make from being an Evil Mage?
Even Qilunaar, who had initially been invigorated by Xu Lie's Fire Magic, began to waver. He couldn't help but stare at Xu Lie's thick black hair: Xu Lie? What are you doing?
Xu Lie remained unfazed, putting on a facade of gentleness. "Please do not misunderstand; it's a simple principle. Qilunaar, do you believe an axe is just or evil?"
Before Qilunaar could respond, Xu Lie answered his own question: "An axe is neither good nor evil. A woodcutter uses it to gather firewood for survival, while a bandit uses it to harm others and rob."
Knowledge is similar; those who possess knowledge can either help more people—this is justice—or use it to harm others—this is evil.
I found that Evil Mage's magical transformations intriguing; they contained rich magical knowledge. I might be able to transform the knowledge about wings and scales into magic that everyone can learn without needing to alter themselves.
This would allow all wizards to soar freely in the blue sky and possess certain defensive capabilities.
Xu Lie's words were met with initial approval from the audience.
He wasn't wrong; knowledge knows no good or evil. Tactical Nuclear Weapons can kill many people, but nuclear power plants benefit countless families.
I agree with Xu Lie's viewpoint: people have both good and bad sides. When good and bad people have the same resources, their actions will undoubtedly differ.
No wonder Xu Lie wants to establish a school; it seems that wizards truly need education, at least to broaden their horizons.
Qilunaar was also persuaded by Xu Lie, primarily due to his previous impressive performance. He freely shared his self-created Meditation Method and planned to found a school to share more knowledge from the Magic Books transcribed from the Gate of Truth.
With these two foundations, supported by the undeniable truth that knowledge is neutral, it became easier for others to accept the occasional use of Soul Crystals, even if they were from Evil Mages.
A few younger wizards, like Beric, were even more eager for this development. They looked forward to Xu Lie researching the knowledge within the Soul Crystals as soon as possible, allowing them to experience the sensation of flight.
