If they were taken away from the battlefield now, it seemed safe, but once they stepped outside the school gates and encountered an Evil Mage, they wouldn't even know how they died. The losses would be significant.
It would be better to stay and fight alongside the school; not only would they gain knowledge and improve their combat experience, but they would also strengthen their bond with the school. Why not?
Reiner was persuaded by Xu Lie and did not contact Teacher Zhao again. Instead, he hurriedly sought out the Prophet Mage who taught at the school. Few students chose the Prophecy Class, not because they were uninterested in foreseeing the future, but because this subject heavily relied on talent. Thus, in the month leading up to the Prophecy Class, many students came to experience it. If they could successfully predict the Wind Elemental on the first day of the following month, they could continue their studies. If one couldn't predict anything? It was better to switch majors than to waste time and effort.
When Reiner approached, the Prophet Mage was somewhat surprised; this old friend usually mingled with students and was considered a rare visitor. "What brings you here?"
This was the teacher's office, so there was no need to worry about being overheard by students. Reiner quickly explained the situation: "It's roughly like this. I have great faith in Xu Lie's predictions using Idealism Magic, but this matter is too significant. I need your help to cross-reference."

Without further ado, the Prophet Mage took out a crystal ball. This was not the kind of mundane arrow that Reiner had used for psychological suggestion before; it was a magical crystal ball that the Prophet Mage had exchanged for with accumulated points over time.
Originally, the Prophet Mage could only predict events for one or two weeks into the future, but with the help of this magical crystal ball, predicting a month ahead was no problem at all. Before long, images began to appear within the crystal ball—indistinct yet compelling visions of what lay ahead.
Powerful as Reiner was, he could not comprehend the abstract images before him and could only look at the Prophet Mage with a face full of anticipation. The Prophet Mage furrowed his brow, sensing something was amiss. The prophecy indicated that there would be heavy rain at the school by the end of the month.
Yet, everything at the school seemed perfectly fine; nothing unusual had occurred. It was impossible, Reiner instinctively dismissed the thought. Deep down, he regarded Xu Lie as the ultimate authority; after all, it was Xu Lie who had predicted this using the unique Idealism Magic. How could there be an error?
This instinctive denial came without a second thought. The Prophet Mage's expression also grew serious. "Don't worry, let me take another look."
In truth, not just Reiner, but even the Prophet Mage himself began to wonder if it was his own abilities that were lacking, which caused him to fail in predicting an attack from the Evil Mage. After all, Xu Lie's vague mention of the near future left much to interpretation, and the Prophet Mage's prophecies typically extended only a month ahead—perhaps this situation exceeded his capabilities.
No matter how intently the Prophet Mage observed, the crystal ball continued to display only abstract images of rain falling over Truth School. In such an abstract scene, there were no other movements to be seen; even the lively students had retreated indoors to avoid the impending downpour.
"This is problematic!" This time, it was the Prophet Mage who exclaimed. "Most students will indeed go inside to take shelter from the rain."
